How to get a mobile app developed for a creative idea!

Dear PW users,

A lot of people including me have this problem that they do not have the perfect guidelines to transform their ideas into reality. And in today's world new idea means new Mobile Application. So, if anyone having any experience in this regard can help would not only benefit me but a lot of other people who do not have contacts with good app developers and relevant people!

• Learn some coding yourself so you can review the code being produced.
• Don't cheap out and pick the cheapest option. You will eventually end up paying a lot more fixing bugs and issues later on.
• Define your process and workflow end-to-end. Create a wireframe with your workflows, write down specifications in detail, for instance what fields will you need for your user - first name, last name, age, gender, etc, what fields are needed for a car (if you're building a car-related app) - make, model, year, color, etc. If you don't have proper documentation in place, you'll be making changes as you go, your app won't function consistently as the developers won't know exactly what you're thinking. Write down and organize as much detail as possible.
• Follow up daily, but keep meetings short, developers hate meetings, let them focus on the work.
• You're the QA tester. The best managers I have seen are those that do the most comprehensive testing and communicate issues clearly. Don't rely on others for testing your app. No one knows your vision better than you.

I completely agree with you — having a great idea is just the first step, but turning it into a working mobile app can be challenging without the right people involved. Scalability – As your business grows, so must your technology.
