How to get RPM signal from Toyota #L engine

Salaam All,
I have Prado 3 door with 3L engine. It is a standard model, which means totally manual and without an RPM meter.
So I bought a meter with the RPM. Now I need to know where should I connect the cable to get the exact engine RPM.
Could anyone suggest the connection please??

The crank sensor on old toyota idi diesels are from the injector pump but is a very high frequency signal and also passes through an ac amplifier.
