How to get student discount

I am student of UET lahore near to Lahore Railway Junction I want to travel on railway from from my home to university. How can I get discount in fares of Railway as a student.

Following discounts are available in Railways. Stduents disoucnt can be availed in Official vacations only. You have have to get a letter from institute and get it approved from commercial department of Railway. Then you are allowed to avail 50% discount on selected Trains. Blind Students - 50%
Local Students -50%
Foreign Students -25%
Tourists -50%
Scouts Girls Guides -40%
Sports Athletes -40%
Mentally Orthopedically handicapped Athletes -50%
Members of Chartered Institute of Transport Pakistan Centre
Senior Citizens - 25% and 50%

I'm glad that such a system works for students. When I was at university I had to go to work because I didn't have any discounts.
