@umairjamil6 sir i may sound totally out of context however it appears that we both are in same boat.
by education am an engineer too and by profession am a wafaki sarkari mulazim. i only have 1 personal car which is over 2 decades old. It is at home in use of family. approx 2 year ago i got the engine rebuilt by using this forum. my family lives in Karachi at family house. my other siblings are all very successful businessman in Pakistan / top tier professionals abroad. Their quarterly tax return surmounts my annual salary amount. We are rooted in Sahiwal but settled in Karachi. The position i hold out of haramkari can get me 4x4 of my choice every now and then at nod of my head.
i do have serious desires not only to have an high end vehicle but performing umraah & ziaraat every year with overseas vacations etc etc for my own., sometimes i feel why not just go with the flow make enough money & then stop. We all know haram chaska is deadly makes a person go in spin round & around.
however i know for sure in my grave when i'm on a journey for unknown time period to meet ALLAH (swt) only i will be responsible for my deeds. If i bring up my children over such 'unknown sources of rizq' what will i be leaving behind. What will i carry with me in grave ?
seriously every time i go out call upon kacheri of common people 8 to 10 hours pass by without any issues, my circle my jurisdiction is very much safe i keep MPA / MNAs at distance they have to go by book if they want something out of my office. only 1 office boy plus an assistant to take notes are with me during office hours. Rest of staff shall go by book or accept a charge sheet from me.
under the so called security protocols i surrendered the allocated security team to Govt of SINDH that i do not need any security. am not afraid of death am not afraid of people i serve.
at the same time am a Black Sheep, every now & then i get suspended, transferred to federal surplus pool because i am unfit in system to please my superiors or the political criminals.
I live on my salary and fringe benefits of a babu. (as some members sarcastically address govt employee as babu ) 5% goes to ALLAH's account 20% i keep rest of 75% goes to my wife who manages the children & take care of the household in karachi.
I suggest focus upon your life wife children stay within your means because in Quran ALLAH (swt) has said The wealth & the family are Test for you. We Test you by awarding plenty and we test you by taking away making you miserable. Surrah kahaf ayat 46
“Wealth and children are an ornament of the life of the world, and the everlasting good works are better with your Lord in reward and better in expectation.”
The monies and wealth of parents is part of heirship which gets distributed when both parents leave all of us alone on our own.
