How to Learn Manual Driving?

I have been struggling to learn manual driving at the age of 44 on Mehran. I had lessons from driving school as well as my younger brother also spent time in teaching me since last 20 days. Till now I stall the engine and cannot start in a comfortable way. I cannot understand when I have to press clutch and break together or I have to press break only on roundabouts and speed breakers. I really feel myself unsafe at fourth gear (upbringing of safety first family).

I wanted an open ground where no one was around and I could learn driving but afsos they did not left any open ground in Lahore. I am learning on roads in under development housing schemes but even there labours, construction machinery keeps rolling around which haunts me.

There is no book available on manual driving.

I wanted your opinions on how I can learn manual driving easily. What I should do?

First time learning driving but I know automatic is easy as no gear shifting involved.

practice makes perfect. Join a driving school, you seem to lack confidence, once you drive around regularly in a school for about a month or so, you will soon be confident enough to drive. Join a proper driving school where the instructor also gets a set of pedals, it will help build your confidence

A simple thumb rule, ur agex2. 5 hours. This is the minimum time anyone require to learn driving. Not to an expert level but at a level where you can drive comfortably on highway at relatively low speeds.

Don't give up and do not worry. I am sure all of us went through this phase when we couldn't find the biting point of the clutch, stalled the car and thought that driving just isn't for us. Once you get the hang of it, you'll only look back and laugh.
Wake up each day an hour before fajar, find an empty road near your place. Now all you have to do is put the car in first gear, engage the clutch, feather the race a little bit and simultaneously lift the clutch pedal slowly. A point will come while lifting the clutch pedal where you might feel the car hesitating or stalling, this is the point where you need to give a little more throttle. Practice making your car move from a deadstop without stalling, master it. The rest will come naturally.

Swap a k6a in your mehran with auto transmission.. Forget manual

it reminds me the old days... i had the same issue because i never drove any thing...neither bicycle nor bike...all you need is a good instructor and in a week or two u ll be able to drive confidently...

Keep trying. I never learned driving from anyone. Just loved cars and use to observe my father closely. One day some 20 years ago he said lets teach u. Took me out of city on a empty road and I was at 80 right away. He said u dun need teaching you already know.

One tip I can give you is keep your left heal on ground while releasing clutch and when you feel car has started moving hold tht clutch position for 1 or 2 seconds as it picks up momentum you can release the rest slowly.

While braking if you are not sure than just press the clutch when car is about to come to a stop or goes below 10 kmph.
