How to Mix Nitrogen gas and Air in Car Tires

Nitrogen gas is being used in tires more often than ever before, due primarily to the fact that has a much tougher time escaping the tire as compared to standard compressed air. It is also much better for the wheel and stem since it helps protect them from oxidation. If the tire shop used nitrogen in your tires and you need to add air, then you might be a little worried about the effect. Rest assured that there is no reason to be concerned. You can mix nitrogen and oxygen without any adverse effects.

1 Find a comfortable place to work on your car and set the parking brake.

2 Start up your air compressor and let the tank fill up.

3 Open the driver?s side door of your car and look for the PSI specifications for the front and rear tires on the side of the door. Sometimes it is located on the lid of the gas cap.

4 Check the inflation of each tire one by one using the air gauge. Fill each tire with the air compressor inflation hose, if needed.

... besides, Nitrogen allows tune-ability in race cars' tyres-and durability and reliability in air craft tyres.
We- with our sub-2 litre CNG vehicles with Chinese alloys and road spec tyres- are lucky enough that good old compressed air works just as good, sometimes even better, for us.

I have never seen a tyre that's good on the outside but eaten away on the inside because of regular air- and even if regular air were to oxidise our rims, a maintenance or replacement job should cost less than using them with Nitrogen throughout their life.

But the fact is: if our fuel stations were to offer compressed Nitrogen for insane cost, many iDSIs, iVTECs, VVTis, Euro-IIs, 660cc JDM beasts, <del>crappy</del> craby modified 95 Civics, etc would show up anyway.
It's like the case of HIDs, Iridium plugs, Hot wires... all pain, no gain... that's the bottom line.

If you are going to mix nitrogen with air anyway then why not fill compressed air altogether..lol..air is 79% nitrogen, based on scientific evidence, not the meme alone

The primary reason for nitrogen inflating is just the fact that Nitrogen does not expand in extreme hot weather conditions!! That Is It..
I saw this being done in UAE for the first time where my uncle told that as the temp rises to 50 Degree Plus here, the air expands and results in bursting the tyres mostly when car being driven on highways on speeds more than 140 Km/hr.. The tyres get over inflated due to the hot road plus tyre being rolled at high speed for continuous strech.. So they all get nitrogen filled in the tyres so that the volume of the gas remains the same as filled under all temp conditions!.
