How to prevent/remove rust from your car?

I have searched the forms that how to prevent or remove rust from the car but haven't found anything relating to that. I would like to get suggesstions & opinions of the guys that really know about this.

If you are looking to remove rust from a very small area then here is a tip:
Take aluminum foil and rub the shiny side on the rust.There will not be any scratches caused as aluminum is softer than steel.

ok thanks for your suggestion but how to prevent your car from rust ( what compound to use & how often and what are the parts that have high tendency to catch rust). And where do I get the
aluminum foil?

Best way I guess would be to paint the part you are trying to protect.

Hmm, not sure about where exactly you would get the foil, try places lke CSD or any similar grocery stores.

Use WD 40 (it's a spray) to remove dust completely. Then use some greese etc to seal the area.

from where to get original WD-40 is this the only product available to cure rust?

yaar u can easily get WD 40 Sparay from any hardware shop or even from automobile parts shop.

Easy rust removals;

There's a liquid that's called Rust Convertor. Comes in a liter bottle and is light green in color. You should be able to get it at any auto paint store. Apply that to the rusted area and leave, the rust is converted to powder form and vanishes. After that you can either have the area covered with WD-40, grease or harder primar.

You will get all these things, original from the right hardware / auto paint stores.

If the affected area has developed holes, then I'm afraid that area is beyond repair & should be replaced.

Rust is the cancer of metal, treat it timely & you'll stay happy.

use sand paper with WD-40
clean the surface as much as possible
& paint the surface to prevent further rust

I hope that u r concerned about the rust under body of ur car...(like under floors, motor guards and foot boards).Alright...thats not a big issue....let me guide you.

1. Prevent your car from longer stay of mud. Service ur car atleast once a month and wash it on weekly basis atleast.

2.There comes a very thick paint like black coloured stuff in a tin packing...i forgot its name but u can easily get it from any car paint shop. Mix it with petrol bt make sure it remains thick for easy application.Then lift your car up and apply this mixture with the help of a paint spray gun or brush.Although this coating is already done by the car manufacturers but it should be necessary if u replace floors and foot boards of ur car.If not even then u can apply it for added protection.It not only protects ur car from rust but also increases ur sound proofing.Thicker the stuff the more better results will be.

3.WD-40 only removes rust....it doesnt protects the metal from rust.

One more thing....

High tendency areas of a car for rust are...

Floors, Motor gaurds, foot boards, fuel lid inner side and trunk curves.

But remember rust will appear anywhere which is not regularly washed and dried.so keep ur car clean and mud(keechar) free.

1 .. USE THE RUST REMOVER BRUSH WITH DRILL MACHINE ..
2... THEN USE ANY SPRAY PAINT TO COVER IT .. ( it dry fast it get hard much better and its cheap u can get it in RS 100 ..) 2 or 3 cots..
