Brits call it Sportaaj, there is no right or wrong pronunciation. Americans call Balogna (Balow-Nyaa), Baloney and Aluminium is Aluminum for them, lol. So it's much better to follow the brits' pronunciation when it comes to these things. However, I would never call it Sportaaj myself.

Lol. I hate to tell you that it really is pronounced sportaaj. Hi-un-day. Ow-di (not aw-di), mer-say-dees (not mars-di), skool for school (not askool). Sorry had to add last one in even though its not car based.
I can carry on all day. Alot of the names are obviously European and in their native tongue is how they were meant to be pronounced. Renault is pronounced ren- no, Peugeot is pronounced per-yo, porsche is por-sha, Seat is say-at. No matter what the name Pakistanis tend to make keema out of the name regardless.

Kia officially pronounces it that way as well? Lol. Kia has no official way to pronounce it, they'd say it differently as per the region. Sportage is not even a real word, so it can be pronounced either way Sportej and Sportaaaj (Just like cheese is called Fromage in French, not Fromej).

Just because you think it's terrible it doesn't mean everyone else should "educate" themselves kind sir, the world doesn't revolve around one person.

It was me who educated you that most of the world pronounces it as SPORTEJ, not SPORTAAAAJ. As SportAAAJ is limited to only brits and aussies.

Well said Salman saab. Actually I am British Pakistani which means got to learn proper English in England and as a Pakistani get to see the Pakistani version too. When I started this topic it was not to start a fight but to bring to people's attention the embarrassing mispronunciations Pakistanis make abroad. When you make Youtube videos they are seen all over the world and not just Pakistan. I sit in the UK and cringe at some of the things said. Don't presume things. I do make 'goras' pronouce urdu words or names properly. They call Pakistan Packistan so I have to explain its Paakistaan. I definitely don't have a inferiority complex as you state. The fact is you have the inferiority complex as in you are inferior and will never be like others and as such why even try. YOU think the 'gore' are the only people who can speak English to a proficient standard and Pakistanis can never. Yet I correct them everyday. Also, its not true that your native language has to be English for you to be able to speak it properly. I've been to Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Switzerland Norway and the majority in those countries speak better English than the British. I wss born in Pakistan, English wasn't my first language but I bet I can speak better English than the majority of English people.
This is a clear example disproving your stance or should I say the inferiority complex.
