How to remove vehicle under your name

I have sold my car to a person (dealer) on promise that he will sell the car and new owner will transfer it on his name. Now almost 4 months have been passed and the car is not transfer yet. I called the guy he said he will talk to the new owner but nothing happen and now the dealer number is switched off. I want to know what can I do to remove this car from my name?

If you have evidence of sale, then you are safe.

Keep pushing new owner , you may tell dealer that you would block the file.

If you really want to do something, then write to ETO alingwith documentary evidence that you have sold car . ETO would block file which would be opened only by you whenever new owner wants to get it registered.

My advice would be to keep pursuing if you have record and receipt of sale deed then no worry

If the car is isb/punjab registered, you can simply block its registration, by submitting an application to the concerned excise & taxation office.

If sindh registered, then I am not sure. Even I sold mine sindh reg car & the new owner didn't transfer it to his name yet.

I asked an agent, who deals in sindh registered vehicles. According to him, we can't block the registration in Sindh Excise.

AoA, dear i wrote in the name of the director excise and taxation Punjab and deposted to the Director excise office in Lahore personally by hand and I was assured that it would be blocked but after I think couple of year now it's not block yet

I have just sale receipt and that too not on stamp paper

simply write to him and deposit it. not specifically dtaft for that, just in own words.
