How to replace wiper refills: Corolla

Hi. Today it rained in Islamabad and while driving I heard some noise from the driver's side wiper. For a long time rubber wallas have been telling me that the wipers were torn so I should replace them, but I never buy stuff from these walking vendors. I inspected the rubbers many times, they were soft and no signs of cracks or any portion was torn out. So I decided to buy a new pair of rubber part only. It is the second replacement of rubbers in seven years. The previous one I bought were from Toyota Capital I-9 for 850 PKR and I carefully observed how the mech replaced them.

Last time I changed, I faced no difficulty, but this time around I found it difficult to pull out the rubber as forgot how to unlock the locks of metal stripes. Last time I did not remove blades from arms, but YouTube helped me to understand how to do it.

Sorry no pictures of DIY as hands were all blackened by old rubber and there was no help with me.

My passenger side were in perfect condition and driver side were torn during the rain here, what I did was swapped them. Although the passenger side was smaller then the drivers' but still worked like charm

I tested them last night while going for CNG filling and they wiped very well. Old one on passenger side was not torn, but I changed it as well.

Wiper blade rubber inserts should be changed every year without question.
