Guys i am trying to figure out is there any way we can run our gas generators on gas cylinder instead of normal sui gas connection .....i have generator which can only run on gas and have no petrol option i tried to connect it to gas cylinder but it did not work its running fine on sui gas..... some one said its because gas cylinder have lower pressure . So if some one is running it ok gas cylinder let me know if any thing specially needs to be done..... my generator is 5kv
To run your generator on cylinder first u would hav to install LPG conversion kit then u can run it upon LPG otherwise I dun think that natural gas is available in cylinders like in case of Cng and even if it is than it would be to too heavy for being portable
running Generator on Gas Cylinder is very risky.!!!
@sulemanmirza
Bro these cylinders are used in many kitchens all over Pakistan for cooking how can they be dangerous for generators
I don't think it's safe .
they are used in areas where, SUI GAS is not available, wase bhi all in all they are dangerous, decanting them, shifting them from one place to another etc etc.. i have heard many many news about these cylinders blowing up..
They are a lot less dangerous than the CNG ones as the gas in them is not compressed
yes you can do it man, it will work. no alteration required. just plug in pipe to already installed gas intake and start it.
