HOW to send food items to other countries from Pakistan?

I am planning to send some food items to my relatives abroad by courier like may be fruits etc. I called all courier companies like DHL, TCS etc but they said they dont carry food items. Does any one know how i can send them? I am talking about a weight of perhaps 10 kg or something.

i personally know a wise @ss who tried carrying mangoes to UK
they siezed his baggage

some people personally carry and get through,
but u cant parcel food items.
p.s u know u cant even send CD's DVD's in parcel

sometime back TCS used to offer such services. you could send sweets, fruits etc to your friends n family abroad. not sure if its still available.

I wonder what fruits might they be that are found in pakistan but not anywhere else in the world? besides most countries have dedicated quarantine departments that would make it almost impossible for any uncooked edibles (fruits, seeds, vegetables etc.) to get them through..

i think if u post frm GPO in any city u can send these things but only spices nd stuff not fruits and liquid stuff

yeah but I wanna send Mangoes to my cousins.. And I promised them. Now i am stuck as i hate telling them I cant send it to them

I don't know about Hong Kong, but in the UK, Pakistani mangoes are available in the markets, and I would suggest buying them online and having them shipped to wherever in the UK you want to.

The USA is out of the question presently due to strict agricultural import laws I am afraid.

Canada does allow Pakistani mango imports, but only from certain approved faciltities that irradiate the fruit to kill all infestations before shipping. The process to get these facilities approved for the USA is presently still ongoing and will likely be very slow in getting approvals.

@vcheng.. Recently they were saying that since Hillary's visit to pak, the rules have been changed or perhaps being changed. I still dont know the status thought..
