can you shed some light upon na nitrous motors .....say an h22a with a nitrous system ...on stock internals,is it possible? what would be the tuning parameters for a motor running nitrous?
bro,i have said this before and ill say it again Nitrous has only one goal and that is to destroy your engine to little pieces the safest way to use nitrous on mostly stock honda motors Max of 70-75shot the higher you go the more chances of blowing your engine but i have also seen engine blowing up on as little as 35shot so if you want a guarantee then sorry there is no guarantee that you will run safe on a stock motor but there are some ways to reduce the risk to some extent which are as follows:
*firstly you have to retard 2° for every 50shot of nitrous you tune
*for every 50shot you should go a step colder on the plugs
*proper fuel pressure(fuel pump+fpr) a good investment
*make sure your engine is in perfect running/working condition i-e no
blow-by
no smoke no loss of compression etc
*a good exhaust system
*a good intake system
*a healthy clutch and pressure plate
the things to keep in mind
1) the best and the most safest system is the direct port system as it equally distributes nitrous/fuel mix to each cylinder respectively followed by the dry system(mostly people dont like dry system becus its a bit harder to tune - but its kinda effective and you are safe from the nitrous backfiring) and then the wet kit*above 75shot you better be careful for backfires*(but most people pick wet over dry becus of the fuel supply - and they have a point)
2) one should get 2 sets of same heat range plugs(new) and should start reading the ground strap for best timing mark and mixture rate(for more on nitrous tuning here is my email exorcisedpunk.marijuana@hotmail.com)
3) after assuring the nitrous/fuel spray pattern is perfectly in atomized manner in a wet system mostly tuners place the nozzles 6-15 inches away from the throttle body depending on the nitrous jetting size to make it as atomized as possible as fuel is heavy and can lead to backfiring in some cases
this isn't all and wait for other experts to reply every tuner has a different way of tuning just like different doctors use different methods wait for saadzae92 datpak and others to reply and see what method is more suitable feel free to ask more
