What would be the sweet spot on rpm band. I mean the power band of engine is at 4.5K with 2" piping on G10B. So i assume with 2.25" it wud be near 6k or near redline. ??

this setup is pretty much ok for a 1000cc engine if you plan for further upgrades such as head port and shave or plan on getting some juice then you might benefit from a 2.25inch piping but at the moment the thing that is robbing your power is your stock mufler invest in a silent exhaust that will raise your powerband abit

i did put a desi exhaust of 2inch inlet and outlet but gains were not noticeable, i wonder if branded exhaust can add up something to it.

there is no ''gain''like thing whenever you put an exhaust on a 1000cc setup,i mean u cant even expect 2hp gain while putting up a hks exhaust even:D
yes u'l feel the difrence a bit.
better to concentrate on some potential mods rather than these so called stage1 mods.

2" inlet is more then enough for this 1000cc yet here many ppl swaped gearbox wth g13 g15 n g16 along wth throtle systems injectors n fuel rail wth no engine management n they use to easily eat GLIs city etc but somehow changed gear ratios will affect the internals.

then atm you dont need anything its good to have a 2.25 inch or a 2inch good flowing exhaust but the stock exhaust will do fine until you do some head porting and some good pistons

i own a honda city 2011 wid sm basic mods(CAI. 2" free flow piping and free flow exhaust)
i was planning on buying a piggyback vtec controller,,, that wud give me the option of changing various parameters e.g AFR, valve timing, vtec crossover etc...
my questions are:
1. wat sort of power gains should i expct after tuning(cnsidering these mods) if i get myslf a piggyback??
2. im currently strongly considering the camcon H ivtec controller... what du u ppl thnk abt it...???
any other options or prsnl experiencs with ivtec engines are more than welcm...
(PLz keep in mind future plans incude sm playing around with TB and intake manifld...)

these engine arn't meant for power the reason them being around 100ps
you wont benefit from a vafc/safc/neo they are crap people who have boosted l13/l15s commonly go with e-manage blue/ultimate but personally i dont like either one of them if it isn't standalone it isn't worth the money - and no you cannot tune valve timing or ignition timing with a vafc/safc/neo the only thing it does is it will make your ecu read from wrong cells which if the ecu is a bit rich like the hondas engines themselves - the honda engine run notoriously rich from factory but the l series is for economy purposes so it wont benefit from a vafc i'll say dump this idea and go for a much more tuneable platform your l13 was never meant for power the max you could do is get a header and a free flowing exhaust
