How to wire in an OBD2 port on 1NZ Charade?

This one is ok. Just a question, what happens if I hook up TAC or TC to a wrong pin? Coz I'm sure I can hook it up properly to B+ SG and CG

Sensor Ground is a different ground. It's 5 volt reference. You cannot ground that with chassis.
In obd2 port SG denotes Signal ground.
In 1nzfe Ecu it connects to E1 pin ( connector A pin no. 14 ). The same pin is grounded with the chassis.

I think this is the correct pinout for my ecu. I tried tapping tach and it worked. Will be checking other wires once i get enough time. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. For the +12v, should I get it from ecu or can I get it from any live wire from battery?

Direct +12 volts from battery. Not from ignition.

I tapped it already in BATT (as indicated in pinout) of ecu. It is working but should i tap it direct to 12 volts from batter? Thank you for the help.

I was able to tap everything, I'm using a bluetooth obdII scanner and was able to connect. It can connect to "car scanner app." For this app, it connected to ecu but there is no option to get rpm from tach, it only has SPD. I also tried "torque app." For torque app, I was able to connect but it says could not connect to ecu. This app cannot read anything.

Could you recommend which app to use to check if my connections are correct.

No need BATT is also direct battery.
Use Car scanner obd2
Got to settings > Connection Profile > Toyota > OBD-|| / EOBD K-Line/KWP + extra sensors.
If doesn't work then check wiring.

I Used this app and its connected to obd2 and to ecu. I ran diag for codes and had no error codes. What should i look for to make sure i wired correctly?

Select All sensors menu. You can see the real time data of available and supported sensors.

This is what I got in sensors. Knock sensor changed values after a while but others didnt. Is this ok?

Elm327 is not getting data. Only knock sensor? What about Rpm, maf and tps ?
Which elm327 version you got?

Other sensor data not moving. Elm327 version 2.1. When I use Torque app it says elm bluetooth connected but ECU no connection but for Car scanner, it says connected on both.

Your car is k-line.
Your elm327 does not support k line cars.
Elm327 1.5 with pic controller supports k-line.
Where as confirm the wiring again.

As @Hassan1991 mentioned, you should get an earlier variant, like the elm327 1.5 for it to work. If you're buying a device, your better bet would be to get the xhorse mini vci cable and run the Toyota Techstream with. That is guaranteed to work with this setup if the dlc3 is wired correctly.

Also, make sure that the BATT connection to the ecu is fused and not a direct wire from the battery. If you've tapped into the BATT wire for the dlc3, just put a fuse on the source wire for BATT and that would cover both the dlc3 and the ecu. It goes without saying that the same is true for the B+ of the ecu.
