I would suggest you download and look at pictures or pictograms of part assemblies to see what is missing on your car - for whatever job you are planning to have done.
You will find some parts are able to be cross referenced to other Toyota vehicles too (which you can use as example for buying parts) - or if you are handy you can measure stuff like bearings, seals, circlips, bushings etc etc.
e.g. my VW Golf mk2 rear wheel bearings needed replacement - Its parts were not sold in Pakistan. so I removed them and measured them, they were the same cup and cone as used in Corolla E30 and E70 front wheels - also called "chiyatarr or biyaasi corolla" - while its grease seal was similar to Datsun/Nissan B310 front wheels.
so I would tell the shop this.
" biyaasi maadil corolla ke aglay bearing chahiye, dono side ke, aur daatsun 120Y ke aglay bearing ki seal dono side ki"
it used a Mann 940 oil filter, which is used in a lot of machinery including Massey Tractors - so I would ask for Massey Ferguson oil filter.
If you are owning a car whose parts are rare or like mine - which people dont even know about (cultus jesi foxy) - you need to be on top of your parts game - otherwise its a money pit like the previous owner of my VW, he spent a fortune yet still the car was becoming worse trash everytime it was repaired, some jackass put a toyota starter on it and a mitsubishi alternator too, LOL - both original but used items were very low cost from lawrence road scrap market - sold by weight because VW Golf was never seen in Pakistan - those traders/shops would chop down oddball starters, alternators and motors like fan or wiper for copper in the windings.
