RESPONSE BY NDMA
- Deployment of Field Detachment. NDMA deployed a field detachment from 5 Jan to 2 Feb 10 on the incident site on 24/7 basis for coordinating the response of various agencies.
- Deployment of USAR Team
- NDMA immediately airlifted USAR detachment from 5-8 Jan 2010 to the disaster site for conducting operations.
- Search of missing persons with the help of canine component.
- Evacuation. Over 6958 people transported with the help of Helicopters.
- Helicopters Sorties. 762 Aviation sorties have been flown so far.
- Boats
- 10 x Boats along with OBMs and operators provided to GBDMA for restoring ground link with Upper Hunza.
- Summary of Boats Operation so far:-
