Hunza valley trip

I'm going to karimabad on the last week of April. It's a short 4 days trip and it's my first time. Can you guys kindly suggest some important places to not miss out around the area. And what the weather would be like? Would I need warm jackets?
Are there any non glacier hiking trails around the area? Should I keep any thing for safety? Are there any better options to stay and explore in hunza valley? I don't want to spend most of my time from hoping from one place to another and spend time on the roads. I wanna go to a peaceful place and roam around and maybe visit few landmarks such as ataabad lake.
Another thing, we are going with a driver. Do we have to make a stop in chillas or Besham or do you suggest us to go straight to karimabad? Do you have any contact for a decent driver ?

Do keep warm clothes. You might not be able to trek on glaciers as there would be snow these days. If you are going from Islamabad you can reach Hunza in a single stretch with stops at 3 or 4 places at KKH. Stay at karimabad and visit the places @baleno1300 has mentioned.

I have another concern. I'm going on the upcoming Friday. And rain/showers is forecasted for all the four days we are going to be there. Is it recommended to go in snow/rain?

Weather will be cold, definitely keep some warm clothing, safety is not an issue in that area. Baleno1300's list of places to visit is more than enough for 4 days.

Stop at Chillas or Besham depends on your starting point.

i dont remember the names right now but Assistant Commisioner Hunza has done a great job as he has fixed the rates for every hotel in hunza. the list has been posted at main road so that the owners dont exploit the tourists during peak season

My starting point is islamabad

I spoke to my designated driver today and he said that we should leave in the day time as kkh road is risky to drive at night. And he said that there's no entry/exit time restrain at chillas , which contradicts every other opinion about chillas. He said we can leave in the morning and reach chillas at night and continue to gilgit at night from chillas if not tired. Is this true ?

I haven't been there yet but people recommended me Ptdc, hunza embassy hotel, and eagle nest. They all range from 3500 onwards except for eagles nest which starts from 9000

I am back from the trip. It's an amazing place. I went directly to karimabad without stopping and stayed there for four nights. The road was good. But there is a very bumpy patch of about 3-4 hours in kohistan.

I would stay over at Besham or chillas if I had time because the journey is very long and tiring in one go. I went upto khunjerab and was an amazing experience. Thank you everyone for your input and help in making this trip happen
