I am planning to buy a hybrid battery for Toyota aqua 2013, i need a complete guide on how to buy a good one that sails smoothly for 7-8 years minimum. What are the options along with price, which one is better, can i get a brand new one, what are different market manipulations and what parameters should i check in battery before buying. Thanks in advance for your kind responses.

It you want 7-8 years with no issues, buy it from toyota along with a new inverter coolant pump.

Also have the brake abs/eh unit replaced with brand new, these parts have finite life.

My prius jiyin battries lasted for years, approximately 7-8 years ( as you depicted ) until they died. Man, I love that car. Anyway, it was nightmare to get that car repaired. But yea, one should expect such costs. It was in daily use, home to school to home to workplace to home, lol.

nimh, I have seen ppl using lithium batteries instead of nimh in their old prius, delusion ?!? Thats definitely not the oem standard, as far as old priuses are concerned. I just don't like lithium batts, more dangerous. In general, it's like a time bomb & waiting for it to detonate. But still, using lithium batteries in a old prius ~ were they designed for it ?!? Is it safe ?!? Soo, AM I going to prioritize my fuel average and weight reduction & cash in my safety for that ?!? No !! Hell NO !!

Sorry, can't offer any tips ~ other users already shared extremely useful tips. Also, I only specialise in car accessories, soo yea ~ follow the tips of other users.

Most nimp battries are imported from japan ( used batteries ). People in pk are like " japannn da saraa kurah kad ke le aao". Some shops label em as "kabli". Some batteries are repaired & sold as " nawah " fresh mall etc etc. Manjan vechan I ne, lols !!

Point is, there's nothing like "nawah battery". All of 'em are used ones in pk. People offer warranties on them, meh ! 5 saal di guarantee, sar ji.

This is the best tip by far, if you are looking for a long term solution. Tho, I'm not sure if these parts/batteries are available for purchase in the respective dealerships. But yea know this, they will be expensive ~ if available. It's worth every penny, unless you end up getting scammed from that dealership. These dealerships specialise in removing the clothes of the buyer/user

IMC can you get any toyota part from the global catalog, for cars sold by them its quite simple and is lower charge due to local selling

For global cars like if you want to buy a part for a toyota aqua you pay retail plus tariff plus shipping upfront. Not cheap but you get the real deal.

Im from Khi and I have also dealt directly with the IMC plant in BQ, They are pretty straightforward for such. The problem with some dealerships is that their parts jockeys dont even know how to work that application itself and only rely on an excel sheet or quick reference.

They can get you all sorts of toyota parts too, just like suzuki motorcycles in Pk can get you any part for any suzuki motorcycle in their global catalog. Usually people dont like the prices though.

Obv, they think lithium batteries are better & retail around 2.4 lakh ~ lmao. Delusion !! I think genuine batteries from IMC would cost around 5-6 lakh, tho this is a estimation. People would choose the cheaper option "lithammm", not the better option ( new nimp ). Instead of listening to an actual expert, they will follow the instructions of their charsii side road axxpert ~ then both will proceed to smoke opium together. One of my good friends, unfortunately got Lathamm batteries ~ I'm from lhr.

As you can see, I was in denial & shock. Later, I .... nvm. He learned his lesson. IIRC, He owned a prius 1.8 2010.
