Hydraulic Power Steering making noise and got play in it

AoA All, need guidance with respect to hydraulic power steering of old model daihatsu mira, it has got play in it and makes noise while driving or moving steering in stationary state, I have got 2 questions should I replace the rack which is around 8500 or should I get the rack fixed by a khardia and then get install eps system on it and remove the power pump assembly.

Got it, is there anyone who can render his experience of buying a kabli hydraulic steering from junk yard I mean if there are any specific points which can be checked to know about its the condition or its just I have to go hit and trial method, jazakAllah khair.

I had the steering rack in my old Mira repaired instead of replacement, Biggest mistake ever. Go for replacement for peace of mind.

Is your guy a complete novice in repairing a basic bare bones hydro steering rack from seiko-seiki?

The seals leaked after 3 days. Came from college one day and saw a puddle of power steering fluid. 6k wasted right there. Got a kabli steering rack for around 17k and didn't have any problems.

That was the only diag your hydraulic mechanic did? -

customer - I see a leak under the steering
mechanic - there is a leak under it now - lets replace it.

What kind of goofball approach was that?

Takes a few seconds to see the leak point and find out the leak reason too.

The steering rack boot seals kept leaking. He couldn't fix it. So we replaced the entire rack.
