Have u experienced 2nz with cng? if yes then share its milage on per kg or per tank.

by hypermiling do you mean shifting at low rpm's n driving it on neutral as well?
i cant do the neutral shift because of auto gear box but i do take my foot off the race instead

Well to me that is too less a difference between city and highway miles. I am getting 125 in city and 200+ on highways with AC on and on CNG whereas on petrol 12 in city and around 17+ on highway. This makes the ratio between city and highway miles as 1:1.6 but in your case its just 1:1.2. My car is a honda city 2005 idsi manual and remember in city most of the time I am alone in the car but on highway its minimum 5 people in the car If I am alone on the highway may be I can get 220+

Hi guys... the most difficult thing for me in life would be to drive my car slowly...

Btw based on the experiences of u guys of civic 1.6 , I am amazed that my Altis 1.8 2005 model gives me 160kms on average with AC... Islamabad pindi local driving... Few days back got the tyres pressure checked and after that it gave me more than 170kms... 55L cylinder... And yups no hypermiling!

Altis and CNG both are opposite things, anyways very good milage, wts ur tyre size?

a manual VTI 1.6 in isb with 55 cyl usually gives around 140km's without normal drive
auto kay mazay and economy do not go along well. thats why i switched to a manual honda

today while i was heading towards kashmir highway,i thought to enjoy the awesome pick with high rpm's but while i was at signal,i saw there were 3 cng lights with 60km driven so that changed my mind n i continued with my patience driving,em waiting for this cylinder to end to see how much mileage i get n if its worth all the patience,esp the dead slow pick with 2k rpm,driving at 80speed under 2k rpm is no problem,but the slow pick with 2k rpm is really killing,since it cant shift to neutral so whenever i am near signal i take off foot from race 1km before

i know city gives excellent mileage on petrol as well on cng,i dont know why but its 1300cc with light body

there was some guy once at workshop for his car's ac work,i asked him how much mileage he gets on cng on his manual civic
he also said he gets 140km but because he mainly travels on express highway which makes it more of a highway mileage rather than city driving

it was white civic with ferrari sticker but that guy looked like 27

yea i enjoy drive of auto alot but miss power of manual as well but comfort is greater than the feel of power
one can push manual so much n all n still manual gives more mileage?
how much is there difference in mileage in manual vs auto?

switching to a different car is a pain,being a non techie guy i didnt knew if this car had some issues n i had to visit workshop to get all issues fixed n now finally nothing left except to enjoy it

i dont understand it either but its true iv tried it on other cars they said its its tru in 100rs gas if it gives u 20k so in 200rs gas it wont give u 40km it will instead give u 35 36 ! if cabs are doing this then it should be true

i dont think it can be true
if u get cng for 100 or 200rs,half of it will just b air then how would that air give more mileage

one of my most favourite topics and gets me going... so heres my $0.05

1) contrary to popular belief, driving slow does not necessarily mean saving $$$ on fuel
2) gentle acceleration and easy on the accelerator pedal when approaching junctions, traffic lights etc
3) easing off the accelerate pedal in most modern cars cuts off fuel supply when in gear. if coasting (in neutral) most modern cars continue to supply fuel to prevent stalling so its better to slow down when in gear
4) making best use of your area topography

i have added a few pictures to prove my point..... first one is a 28 mile (~45km) motorway stretch and the second is a 611 mile full tank to empty with mixed motorway/city driving @62.7mpg (~22km/l) both on the old Civic Hybrid.

Rs.783 CNG gives u 172 Kms, thats amazing milage, is that with AC or without and in city or highway,
Mine 1.3 XLI with 195-65-15 gives almost the same milage, Need experts opinion regarding same consumption of 1.3 and 1.8 engines,

since cng is open today n mine was about to end so i couldnt observe the exact mileage BUT i got cng filled at 100km n still there was one cng light n it wasnt on reserve which means there were additional 15-20km left,so 120km in 8kg of cng with prosmatic civic is quite good using this hypermiling
though it should fill 9kg cng n with that mileage will increase a little bit more

now em changing driving habit to
first shift at 4k rpm max
second shift at 3k rpm max
by then it reaches till 80 so then i continue under 2k rpm,so i guess 2k rpm later, will cover for the 4k rpm, at first shift

this can only be achieved by bigger engines as small cars need to rev up more then bigger cars
my alto tune time is due and i can feel its consuming a lot more but i never do hyper miling as where i live its pedal to the metal
