The interior looks a decade old as compared to the civic.

Look at sportage/Tucson and now Elantra.
All have great exteriors but terrible interior designs.

Hyundai India is fully owned subsidiary of Hyundai global. They have full working local R&D and Indian spec Elantra is also 70% local parts.

We unfortunately are just assemblers, just local investors bringing CKD and rolling out models with lesser equipment and features beside lower SAEFTY standards.

I think 4.0 million for a 2.0 variant will be a competitive price. This ckd will definitely have better quality interior and other body parts including the metal sheet instead of the shiit we get in a civic.

Its may be the competitive price at the moment, but if IMC Launch 12th Gen corolla by the end of this year, Elantra may not be able to compete. I think Hyundai must focus on the 3.5M Price range segment as limited options are there for the customer.

In case of Tucson, the quality of plastics is low comparing Sportage, inner door panels , the dashboard itself.

Hyundai started with local parts supplier while Kia still using imported parts.

will people be ready to buy 4.5 million toyota sedan in the presence of other cross over options. 40 to 55 lac bracket has become highly competitive now.
In india they discontinued corollas because people were more inclined to buy sub compact sedans. Selling Sedans over 4.2 mils will be a very tough ask now.

As of now just one varaint with 2L and seems it is a full option . Yes fabric seats and no leather . Maybe they offer it as an option but as.per official specifications, its fabric

Mohsin cars (a private dealer) shared the post written by Fazal Wahab and has mentioned the price to be 3.6mil.
If it turns out to be true, for the variant being shown in pictures, it could definitely hurt Hondas and Toyotas

But on the other hand, that would be so unlike hyundai-nishat "the premium brand"

Government should bring in legislation to BAN all call assemblers who do not bring in locally manufactured cars of minimum 70% local parts.....

Only this way cars would be cheaper......

i think importing a CBU would bring a difference of 1 or 2 Lacs........so better bring in CBUs....INSTEAD OF MAKING A FOOL OF PAKISTANI NATION.....PKDM....

Proton X70 CBU was few lac expensive then locally assembled Proton X70 ...SO BETTER BRING IN CBUs THEN ASSEMBLING CARS here........MG CBUs are that is why much better...as they are LOW QUALITY CHINESE JUNK being exported as CBUs and is AFFORDABLE.....
