Car booking should be banned. Dealers should have ready stock to be purchased upfront. Assemblers should produce enough cars to meet the demand.

Secondly why does every one complain about sending our precious dollars abroad for CBU units?

Don't you think the assemblers pay the suppliers USD for the CKD kits?

What I like about the Indian industry is that they setup complete plants and also focus on export!

For example the Suzuki Celerio was first launched in Indian market and is exported abroad as well. If nothing else, we could manufacture RHD cars for particular markets in Asia and Africa.

I hope the Chinese seize this opportunity with their RHD market cars that are to be introduced here. Now that would be a true AUTO INDUSTRY in Pakistan.

I don’t think it will be underpowered it will be about the same as 1.6 altis although still not obviously as good as a 1.8 or 2.0

No not at all, it has more horsepower than Altis 1.6 and auto transmission will be 6 speed.

yah just checked out its 128 hp , 8 hp more than altis 1.6.

Personally i am rooting for 1.6 turbo 201 hp engine. Will be most powerful pkdm sedan of pakistan.

A couple of options in 1.6 , and one 1.6 turbo will be awesome.

I wish they keep price of 1.6 one below 3.4 mils

Dont think Nishat will launch the 1.6 variant very soon because of the lack of capacity of the Manufacturing unit. Only thing they can do (and going to do as rumoured) is to double the shift, Expansion of the plant is out of question at the moment.

The crossover Market is going to be more competitive than the sedans. If Honda launches Vazel in the price range of 5 to 5.5, will surely take away the market from Kia, Hyundai and Proton. HONDA has a stronger Fan base here is Pakistan. Same is the case with Elantra, it will never be able to compete with 12th Generation corolla.

Honda and Toyota should put some sense in their mind and need to understand that their monopoly is in danger and if they don’t come out with new and better cars their future is going to be bright

HRV can be a very welcome addition but i doubt that they will , The 12 gen corolla is going to be expensive , a lot more than the 11th one . 45 plus.

They Will all have hard time selling though because of crossovers

Unfortunately the 1.6T will not be an option for PKDM.

As of 1.6L NA, I know it was an option and in limited regions. Can you name any RHD market where 1.6NA was offered ?

And lets not forget that honda city 7th gen will also launch this year , I think if its priced right it will gain market rapidly. Its beautiful , with a lot of features and roomier than the current gen city in pakistan. Indian reviews show that it has a wonderful engine as well capable of producing 121 hp which is equal to altis 1.6 hp. It has a longer wheelbase than before. So hyundai will keep this in mind as well.

Was surprised to find that Tucson base variant, the one launched in competition of sportage alpha has been discontinued. Meanwhile there are quite a lot of alpha on Karachi roads

As of City, nothing is final. No company shares publicly their plans and especially Honda Atlas, who actually fired few people for sharing details about BRV.

As I always say and its again my opinion., these news of 7th generation is to confuse buyers to delay their buying decisions.

No one knows about the real deal. Ground facts direct towards 6th. Again I hope and wish we welcome 7th generation and these media news about 7th are true.
