i know for a fact that a suzuki showroom owner in sialkot books his own vehicles for on money. This is a deeply rooted problem and people think that its alright to sell on on money and let that money go undocumented.

If that stops happening, people could actually get their cars on time. And these auto-manufactures depict the actual demand of these cars and price them accordingly. People who buy/sell these cars on own are equally responsible for overpriced cards.

ofcourse , same thing is happening in real estate.

when you go to buy a plot in some housing society , most of them are already sold on file. No actual registry. The file is just moved around , so there is no track of money. The demand is artificial in real estate and so is in vehicle market.

I read somewhere that 35.5 is including wht and freight. But even then it would be more than what it should have been

Yes including freight and WHT still it would be around 34.90 (50k WHT) (7k freight charges for lhr)

Either Nishat group really think Hyundai is premium brand (LOL) or Seth sb is using HNG venture for tax evading (maybe). Looking at their pricing, dealership behaviour, delivery disasters it's quite obvious they are really not serious in making this venture successful.

Even though they are getting attention and potential customers they are making all of them go away and look for alternatives because of their poor tactics

I booked Altis (so called) X 1.6 in Feb and waiting for delivery, I was excited when Elantra launched, made a plan to sell out my car when received and go for Elantra 1.6. But with this pricing, their behaviour, deliveries mismanagement and observing how they mishandled Tucson, look like I have no option but to stick with Altis for few years.

With Elantra Hyundai a golden chance to hit Corolla and Honda really hard. In new entrants only KIA playing really wise and going successful, they gain market trust, I wish they bring Cerato to create some competition in 3 to 4.0 mil range.

Im at the same position, was going for Yaris 1.5 and waited for Elantra and now realized wait was not worth it. Have already grande but no way can switch from grande to Elantra.
Now saving each a bit to go for Elantra but problem, im planning to book it in July but analyzing Nishat History u cant predict how longer i have to wait for delivery.

Elantra 2.0 full option at 3750k would have made some sense. at 4150k its insane pricing for a sedan. why not spend another 150k and switch to sportage alpha (it looks dope in black), its more spacious and better thing to have.

But all new entrants with green field status r getting benefit in form of discounted import duties on all imported parts if compared to old manfucturers. Therefore localisation benefit of old manufacturers have already been offset.

Pakistani roads need comfortable cars. And crossovers are not that much comfortable as compare to sedans.

Either Pakistani roads will improve .

People will soon shift again to sedans.

Sportage is the most comfortable amongst all PKDM cars. Yes, you can’t find the driving pleasure in Crossover/CSUV so you’ll miss this.

Its 4050* ex factory. 4150 is with WHT so count WHT for others aswell.

In a few years time, it will be interesting to see the market of crossovers when major maintenance is due on them. I can expect prices for suspension parts, tyres and even brake pads to be high!

Then sedans will be reconsidered as a better option.
