Brother use 0w-20 without any confusion. 0w-20 can be used where 5w-20 is recommended even in high heat areas. Similarly, 0w-30 could be used where 5w-30 is recommended. With modern engines, thinner is always better. Automotive oil recommendations changed throughout the world, but mechanics here in Pakistan are still the frog in the well who don't want to learn, read, update themselves. This happens in all areas/fields. People here don't like to read, update their knowledge.
I am using this 0w-20 grade in my 6 year old Wagon R with 72,000km driven since early days even when Pak Suzuki don't have this grade at their dealerships. People switching to thick oils for high mileage engines is also an old and obsolete practice for modern engines. The old style engines used to benefit from this, but if you do this with any modern engine, you will significantly reduce its life in the long run.
Just to give you an idea how safe, thin oil is if it's recommended in the owner's manual.
Last year I did a trip from Islamabad to interior Sindh in one go, non-stop driving for 16 hours. No engine oil reduced, no drop in performance noticed during the whole journey, no engine heat up.
My vehicle still accelerates and runs like new.
