I am looking to book Elantra inshAllah.

Just few confusions to clear before I go ahead, if anyone can help me clear them, that would be super helpful

1) Concerned about the resale of Elantra after a year or two of usage

2) Spare parts availability

3) Elantra falls in almost same price tag as of Civic and Grande. Sometimes this gets so confusing in the decision making process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

1. Leave it if you want to focus on resale. Go with Grande/Civic. Though it will not give you more loss.

2. Parts are not available everywhere but you can get most at dealership. Parts will be available soon at most shops as it's selling in good numbers now.

3. Grande/Civic are around 2-4lacs costly, + 6-8 months time waiting + with poor build.

hahaha, sir you can claim any imaginary thing you want except poor build quality specially for Grande.

It's a workhorse, sold in thousands, runs on our nastiest n most pathetic road conditions, even offroading. Yet performs like a BOSS and is trusted plus reliable.

You cant say that about Elantra. Any guarantee it won't break down during its first few trips on any road with terrible conditions., where Grande maybe runs daily.
OK maybe not first few trips but cant match the build quality or reliability of a Grande.

Don't make resale it ur 1st priority else you won't ever buy a non-Grande or Civic.

Sure, parts availability is a genuine thing. Are they as abundant n available as Grande in used/3rd party markets? Likely Not yet. But, can buy from dealerships most likely.

Just call a random dealer n get an idea about parts prices, plus how much wait time for things like bumpers, fenders, head n taillights, shocks, steering rack etc.

All things aside the car looks beautiful n if you want a pretty car it's one of them.

delivery of Elantra in Nov was 15 days and now it is 3 months which means sales are increasing which would increa resale as well. As far as parts are concerned they are available with dealership.

No offense but kindly note that, the point of reliable you raised is related to Engine and mechanics (gear box etc) and these are imported as it it. Indus is not assembly them here.

So, rest of the build quality should be focused. Low quality paint finish, low quality plastics, not properly fitted parts like gap in dashboard, center console, body is also inferior

I am not a fan boy of Hyundai or anyone. I have used Grande, Civic and Elantra and if you want premium and better finish, you can check and your answer will be Elantra, rest reliability, Elantra is sharing same engine with Tuscon and Sportage, so they have trust on it.

Lets the time decide it else we will be like a ball between Indus and Altas forever

Check the statistics in the markets where elantra and corolla both being sold for quite some years. Elantra has proven to be more reliable than corolla.

Horn is indeed low, like CD70/100 horn. However, it's plug and play, can install any aftermarket easily.
