For me personally the horn is more than sufficient......also Elantra has better sound proofing so i guess thats a major factor in the horn being so quiet

Elantra vs Corolla reliability?
I currently drive Corolla. Never gave any problem after driving years on broken roads.
I am willing to shift to Elantra, just have this reliability factor in mind.

if you check in the markets where corolla and elantra have been offered in parallel since last 10 years or so, Elantra actually has better reliability record AL HAMD U LILLAH.

Been through the whole thread trying to find honest reviews and findings of Elantra owners. Ended up making my way through a ton of bullsh*t posted by butt hurt Honda and Toyota fanboys. I've been in a lot of Elantras for years and I would still prefer a Civic for the better drive. Parts and reliabilty isn't a big concern as both have the parts and are pretty reliable. Both have pathetic tires. The 2.0 is barely going to be diff from the 1.8 but the 1.8 is def the better engine. The Civic is also better round the corners
Elantra seems to be a decent car and has the edge of having a 6 spd torque converter transmission as compared yo the Cvt in Civic. However the I feel had they launched the latest gen of elantra, it definitely would have been really successful.

Drive response of the engine, the gearbox ruins it but the engine response is still better, torque curve, what rpm do u get a higher band of that power instead of just peak power. The 2.0 is only giving like 13 ish more bhp which is still comparable but you get that on a higher rpm. Engine's are more than just bhp and fuel efficiencyElantra still gets points on the better gearbox
Elantra is a better car in every comparable manner. let alone civic 16 year old engine which is not being offered by honda in rest of the world now.
The whole of the "desi" Elantra itself isn't being offered anywhere
well all right hand drive markets have same elantra being offered. whereas newer version has been in the left hand markets. however once new civic and corolla comes to pakistan, as per the plans of Nishat group new version of elantra will be offered and so expect some stiff competition in c segment sedan market.
Well not necessarily.. Right hand drive already started with the new generation of Elantra.
I dont expect next generation of Elantra in Pakistan for another 2 years atleast.
