Was reading this article today, thought to share with you guys..

Hyundai Santro will not be axed upon Eon's arrival

Do you think that Hyundai will launch this car in Pakistan too? the price and positioning perfectly fits in our market to compete with other popular models.

it is launching in India with priced around 2.5 lacks, which is 5-6 PKR

Pakistanis need a locally assembled 1000cc car with features comparable to those offered in vitz, or swift even.

If its Launched in our country , it would be around 7-9 lacs. As its look far better than Alto.

it looks even better than crappy cultus....it should be launch in pakistan with the price tag of around 9 lacs ...i m very confident people will prefer it over cultus alto n coure.......

The article refers to the Santro Xing. The Eon will be released Oct 15 in India and will compete with entry level hatches such as the Alto, Spark etc.

Hyundai is gonna 'kill' the Alto with the EON. Jut look at the fit/finish and equipment in this 2.5-3.0lac car. I'll post detailed pics in my 'what's new' thread next month when it is released.

As far as my experience is concern Hyundai cars are much better than Suzuki and Daihatsu specifically Alto, Mehran, Cultus and Coure. It should be launched in Pakistan to break the Monopoly of 3 of the big companies "Toyota, Honda and Suzuki".
