check the axle boot for any damages. the axle tick tick sound is very different from thak thak sound of the shocks i guess. plus the shocks will sound so only on rough roads or as per the load conditions in the car, on the otherhand the tick tcik sound of axles is clearly heard on turnings and even on straight accelerations if the damage is swear.

well, there are lots of good mechanics for santro all around. I personally go to Crown Autos (behind Fire brigade), Zero point.

Is it's necessary to paint caliper and drum. what Color will be look awesome on on Caliper and Durm. Actually my Xing's present caliper color was faded. I wanna to see their new look. what matching color should i use on Dark Color-Body.

usman bhai.. after reading your thread... i become santro fan and recently i sold my 2010 model mehran and purchased santro exec 2005... and believe me i m very happy.. as the engine is in excellent condition... i m enjoying much much better drive than new mehran...although i dont think there is any comparison of comfort between new mehran and old santro thanx a lot for converting me from Mehran to santro...

Went to Hyundai Sowan today. Got following things done
1. Clutch assy change (clutch plate @ 1850, pressure plate @ 1750, clutch bearing @ 1050, gear oil zic three lits @ 1350, labor @ 1350....Total 7350)
2. Front wheel bearing change (two bearings @ 4601, lab @ 750, Total 5351)
3. Grand Total 12701
4. During test drive i found gear lever still hard. Once I told it to the foreman he replied "It is your hard luck, we cant do any thing". Also,during re-assembling the clutch, the mechanic did not connect the wires of CNG kit correctly and the car was not converting on gas from petrol. When I complained about that, I was very coldly told that ur CNG switch is faulty....Pls get it changed.....Then I went to near by CNG wala, he re connected the wires and the problem was resolved. ....I was really pisxxd off in the end.....

Actually no need to repair or servicing ur Clutch. Just need to loose ur clutch downward due this Ur pressure plate make less pressure and nor getting heat up as sooner.
Actually Clutch create problem when most of time We Drive feet on it and clutch r working on top.
By the way how much driven ur Santro Xing.

Saeed 73, I could not understand "Dayavan" and "Nice to hear that ur Hard luck"
Any ways.........replacemt of cluth assembly was justified as the pressure plate had developed cracks at two places and clutch assy had also worn out and rivets were at the level of clutch surface..
My santro is 100,000 km driven now....

Hi guys

I write here because I'm extremely frustrated with my mechanics. Firstly, can anyone tell me a good reliable mechanic in Karachi who isn't a rip-off.

My problem is this:

I went to Jilani CNG to get my car CNG tuned. My car A/C keeps tripping. What happens is that when I press the clutch the engine revolution shoots up, the car a/c trips, it turns on again and the revolutions go down and the A/C works fine while the car is running in second gear or so.

I went to Time autos in bahadurabad, to get the sensors checked, the checking could not be complete, the guy said the wiring was not right, but he said there were many problems in my car. Next week I went to the same shop but talked to a different guy, he said there is no problem in my car and it's fine.

Also my car sometimes makes these 'patakha' sounds.

I'd appreciate any help in this issue. I think there's some problem, but I don't know what it is. My own mechanic says its the auto choke sensor of the ac in the car. But I don't trust him anymore.

No Its 82Ltr I means santro GV comes with (14x3) 42Ltr and i hv added 40Ltr cylinder so total 82Ltr filled with 12KG cng

Dayavan in sence of that U know they a big chor , after knowing u went for service as well.
Clutch Assy had worn out and crack then good to chage it.

Hi PW friends, i have recently purchased a Santro exec 2005 from lahore in 515 k (sold mehran 2010 model and got santro exec 2005 and i m extemely happy by the difference i m feeling).
1- Initially i have replaced bearing of both front wheels due to some sound coming from them. Engine is excellant, very smooth with very good pick. After changing the bearing there is still a sound coming from right wheel but mechanic told me that this is due to the wheel cap which is bit loosen. Is that happens with anybody else?
2- Another thing that i dont know is a problem or not...is that when i switched off the ignition, engine doesnot stopped at once but it take 4 to 5 second and then get stopped...is it a problem? or it happens in EFI system rides (my previous rides was Mehran 2010).
3- Also i dont know about the tyre sizes e.g. in my ride tyre size is 165/65 (what one tyre wala told me, dont know what 165 means and what 65 means), what should be the tyre size so that car doesnot touch the bad speed breakers of gali.

Please guide me in this regard... thanx

The things you are asking, i can tel you that:

1st of all take your car to company like Hyundai sajjad motors for checkup.
Get your wheels computerized balancing and alignment.
The Santro Radiator fan stops 5-6 seconds later than ignition is off..
Tire size is ok 165/65/13.

165 is tire width in mm
65 is % of tire width radially as we see tire from side.
13 is the rim size in inches.

Hyundai 3S was asking 100,000 here in Islamabad 2 years back. also it is now a days not available, but check those may be some Dealers have it.

Thankx @WaqasJamil.. now I understand the tyre numbers...now come to your questions... The engine check lights only glow while accelerating the car otherwise not. I go through the wheel balancing and wheel allignment the person who did that job advised me to change the rims... My ride has also gone through CNG tunning yesterday...and i request the mechanic to pleez reduce its gas kharcha...b/c it is giving 120km/50 kg cylinder without ac lets c what milage it will now give...

The engine check lights only glow while accelerating the car otherwise not.

Take it for an ECU scan.
It may be a faulty sensor, you should get it checked.
