i seriously doubt it... this shows that your car's milage is 400/12= 33 km per Kg. 1000cc cars gives a max of 26km per kg.

Its mainly the tick tick sound but other then that i felt more stable steering, less noises even on unpaved roads etc.

what was the brand name, as sometimes 3S dealers don't have the OEM parts, and they used some other good Korean brands, how was the packing?

It was Brown Box Pack which have CV Joints ,cv joints boot Plastic Cover as well as Lubricant Tube to fill in , There was no name on it
Agreed nowadays 3S dealer Hyundai don't have OEM parts in stock
Some time even they used chines/local manufacture parts as well ,Got Front Brake Pad change in Rs. 1000

looks like i have been robbed by the kabaria. Did they offer any warranty for the new ones and were they oem or korean?
I have been offered a 6 months warranty. lets hope they keep working well....

No they did not offer any warranty etc , Mazda Motor have OEM CV joints in RS. 6500

What kind of symptoms (other than tik tik noise on steering to either side) are witnessed when the axles go wrong? and what kind of difference/effect one feels after replacing the new axles (gooday)

There is no other symptoms except your mentioned once , But deriving with this issue can damage your suspension completely, Better and safe approach is replace as soon as possible ,

I always go to Mr Asim "Rehman CNG" near Chorh Chakki Rawalpindi for car tuning

Last I had a Suzuki Alto 660cc with 50Ltr cylinder and believe me normally it was giving 270KM/ Cylinder

And now with Santro locally I am getting 310KM/Cylinder and on long 400KM/Cylinder

is there any santro fan who has ever changed or used special performance plugs like NGK platinum tipped or Bosch plugs etc. Does it make any difference in the pick up or consumption of the car. How much these cost and are they worth buying. BTW i have santro Plus model. Thanks.

I am using Bosch super 4 in my santro. price was Rs. 1000/- a year ago. it worth buying, my current millage is 150~ in City Islamabad per cylinder. not a big difference though.

I have asked from Hyundai Twin city motors about Axle cost and Installation charges, the price of axles is Rs. 9000/- for genuine Korean. then called Hyundai Sowan motors they are asking Rs. 4000/- for Japanese Axles and Installation charges 1200/- in which Rs. 600/- is for Installation and Rs. 600/- for Machining work to press the axles.

I hope mine work fine then, as if original costs 9000 then 5200 with installation is a fair price then.

I am using ngk platinum tip plugs in my santro for a while, i feel smooth idling, pick and economy is good too. I bought them for around Rs. 1000~1100. Its better ti install these then that of oem plugs which cost around 650~700. the price difference is little and they last more as well.

Actually change of Air filter, Motor oil, gear oil, cleaning of Throttle, and other things involved that's why the slight pick increase may not be associated with plugs alone. but it does matter though. if the millage is good than you can elaborate that maximum fuel is burning due to good spark thus giving good power and pick.

My AC is loading up the engine significantly, this problem is due to AC, without AC my car millage is good so the pick, but with AC the pick is pathetic with low millage.

Upon switching the Ignition ON, sometimes the battery light indicator of my Santro 2003 doesn't show. what could be the possible problem?

PS: Generator cutout (local term) has changed 2 months ago the symptoms of which was sudden stopping of car during city drive.

Another problem. Is there any relation of tak tak noise of Axle with front strut (Shock). my santro Club left passenger side axle is giving tak tak noise and at the same time the left shock became hard enough which seems to be replaced soon.
