Went to Hyundai I8 today to see Sonata
the car is absolutely amazing.
Pirelli P Zero tyres, Heads Up display, and Apple Car play are my favourite features.

The car is extremely comfortable and very ergonomic
bookings are closed right now and deliveries will now be in November.

Sir how do you think the response will be for Sonata in Pakistan?
will it be a vehicle with ready spares and aftermarket support?

Another great thing about sonata is that it’s ground clearance is 155mm
Civic X in Pakistan has a ground clearance of 153mm

I’ve been driving civic for the last 3 years and it’s been sufficient for Islamabad’s roads
Sonata should be the same

Also sir what do you think about the 2.5 Smartstream engine?
Will it be reliable in Pakistan?

well in relative terms, elantra is more value for money as compared to grande and civic oriel.

and its likely that it will hold its market sooner than later.

I agree. Unfortunately our market doesn't seem to agree yet. Let's hope for the best. Was in a 2 months old civic recently. The interior quality was absolutely atrocious. The car was filled with dull grey hard plastics that looked like they've already aged 5 years. Elantras overall quality seemed way better in earlier units. Later units seem to have worse quality, but still better than the civic.

Also great to see that the sonata has been successful unlike what I assumed. Hopefully Toyota and Honda consider bringing Camry and accord into local production after seeing sonata's success.

Hi, I'm considering 2.5 Sonata for use as a daily driver in Islamabad.
Will this car be practical? regarding availability of spares, Fuel average, ground clearance?
so far from my research I've found that this car has a ground clearance of 155mm whereas PKDM civic X is 153mm so it might not be too bad. does anyone have any experience?

Also how's the 2.5 in terms of fuel average and acceleration?

Too soon for anyone to give a comprehensive response for all this.
But spares would be available due to already existing Hyundai 3S dealership network. Fuel average will be equal to the international varient as the engine is same so i think....you can get an idea from there.
Ground clearance u already know.

So be an early bird and enjoy the car if u get it

Went to book 2.5 sonata today
I noticed that The car also has factory solar glass at the back, so less heat will enter
All windows are Tempered so there’s also UV light protection
And all the windows have 70% transparency
So there’s a sort of factory tint on the glass
Very high quality glass

The infotainment is really snappy and clear
Apple CarPlay was extremely smooth and audio quality was impressive

It’s a very well built vehicle

I also noticed that the sunshades in 2.0 and 2.5 sonata are different
2.5 sonata has sunshades wrapped in leather and padding
Whereas 2.0 ones are plasticky still nice tho

Also if you turn on the light for the sunshade vanity mirror and close the sunshade the light switch is automatically turned off

Does the Sonata have VSA in our market I can't seem to find it in the brochure

Yes the parts are surprisingly well built especially considering the garbage plastic inside the Tucson. Also, I was seriously impressed with the paint quality. The white color is closer to an A4 in quality than a Civic
