yeah, thats what i mean. I am a tucson owner always in praise of Oshan X7 and Haval, unlike civaac owners who are stuck in a rut. If you like something, thats great, but dont push it on everyone else throat.

Still can't get over the fact that a 7.5 million Civic comes with manual seat adjustment, BG Luxo tyres and 2 air bags. Not to mention a plethora of other missing features.

Looks are personal preferences.....For me I am truly a fan of the new civic... I don't like Crossovers ...I am a sedan guy ...

Recently bought a slightly used sonata 2.0 from a close friend. First impressions are as follows.
1- being a d-segment sedan interior is roomy and seats are much more premium and comfortable as compared to other c segments sedans in our market.
2- multimedia touch screen and digital speedo meter is also quiet crisp and responsive. Much more upscale than anyother local cars that i have kept and driven.
3- built quality feels quiet solid.
4- i dont know weather its my car only that the car dosnt unlock itself when i put my hand on the door handle. I need to press the button on the handle to unlock the car.
5- transmission is quiet laggy and the car feels underpowered. i.e whenever i floor it from a low speed the lag can be felt because the car is not sure which gear it should be shifting into.
6- chrome is very extensively used everywhere in this car which adds up to a already very beautifull exterior ( in my view). But the chrome is hard to mantain and needs more care specially while living in DHA ph-8 karachi so i am thinking of putting ppf only on the chrome strips.
7- fuel average that i am getting currently is about 8 km/ltr without a/c within dha. Which might seem quiet low to many but i dont why my yaris 1.5 cvt and picanto A/T dosnt give more then 10-11 km/ltrs which are known to give much better fuel avarages.
Although the transmission feels laggy and Curtainly not a car to buy if you want to enjoy instant torque And power But the engine is powerfull enough to cope up for normal city use.
All in all i am quiet happy with the purchase as i recently sold my cbu proton x70 and bought this sonata. I Just needed to add 0.8million and the upgrade in quality , technology and features is curtainly worth it. The quality of this thing is at par with the japnese. In proton x70 i could some how feel i am driving a chinese made product and it just wasnt par with japenese.

I never understood, why electric seats are offered without memory function. When i drive my car alone, i will never change it's position for the next 4-5 years, and if someone else changes, then i dont know, how will seats be readjusted in case of electric. It will be a pain to re set the position without memory function.

An obvious culprit could be fuel quality. Try another brand pump to see if kmpl gets any better

Agree with you. I personally only liked 2.5 engine which was a little more adequate for the car itself. But its still a bit laggy maybe due to the transmission. However, in normal driving even on M2, never felt it. Its only when you are going crazy on the pedal. I got around 16.2km/litre on M2 with 120km/h cruise with few moments of fun. In Lahore city, varies around 10 to 11km/h with light foot.

You have not been able to understand a lot of things recently, only unless they are offered in your mediocre detuned car.

I mean what argument is that? How do you adjust them manually once they are moved? Is it somehow easier to remember the original position in manual adjustment than it is in electric? You would have a point if it were a 12 or 14 way adjustable seat and all settings were changed, then a memory function would make sense. But this is a Civic, and it doesn't even offer manual lumbar support, let alone electric.

Manual has 5-6 points, electric has way more points eve in 660cc sir. Yes, lumber ajtak civic main nhn a saki..never ever anywhere

I am starting to consider myself lucky with the 2.0’s response.

People are still considering D-segment Sonata to be a F1 specie with pirelli tyres on.

6 A/T transmission being similar to electric car‘s transmission.

Sonata to fly and becomes Aladdin’s carpet.

Sonata’s paint quality has some defects like paint coat is thin, might chip off as heard earlier in the groups or chats.

I am considering polishing this car(since it will clear minor swirls and scratches) not compound since it’s still new.

Can anybody tell if it will prove beneficial or should i avoid since its paint quality- I am not sure like it has improved (even a problem globally).

And would it prove beneficial for a white color?

Sir if you are doing by hand then you will not at all be satisfied by polishing as it will not correct the defects

What I always recommend for hand use is koch chemie rosa. It is a glaze which is made for hand application and will hide swirl marks but not remove them while leaving a carnuba wax protection

There are, however, ceramic coating spray available to mimic the same action.

But I'm a DIY guy so i want to do it by hands.

Don’t want to buy polisher, because a temporary hobby for now.

So far my usage was on nano skin, and chemical guys and car pro but changing the brands, thanks to you for mentioning it.

If you had the choice to buy the civic xi or sonata considering all factors i.e comfort,resale value etc. which one would you pick?

Comfort, value for sure Sonata
Resale then Civic
but Sonata has also earned a good repute and name in the market. Also, everything sells.
