Hey guys-

I just went to Dewans website and was impressed seriously with the Sonata ( A/T ). It has tiptronic transmission with 6 airbags, 260km/h max speed on the meter, 4-5 speed A/T , 6-CD in dash, Remote trunk opener, Active head restraints, probably cruise control, and some other really cool features. ABS & EBD are standard on all models with P225/50/VR17 also standard and front ventilated discs & rear solid discs.

I wanted your opinions on this, they are charging 1 899 000/ - PKR for this and its looks are great(Y). Stylish, decent, sophisticated and sporty-at least to me!

So how is it? I just sent an email to them asking the month& year of import, availability and a few more things.

The arm rest between the front seats slides backwards and forwards through 60mm for extra comfort. There is additional storage space below the lid. (A/T only)

Rear bumper sensors speak a noise and intensifies as you get nearer to an object whence reversing..very helpful

If only it were not a Hyundai...

EDIT: People tell me it's no way close to an Accord or a Camry in terms of being a CAR.

@whisky- u know theyve improved and their minivan the Hyundai Entourage got some award in America..Kia is still behind but Hyundai - I like their stuff now

Nobody's laughing at Korean car manufacturers anymore. We might not get the best that they have to offer, but a couple of years down the line I see these cars as viable alternatives to your typical Japanese gaggle of cars.

Maybe, but not yet. Their production isn't as mature as the Japanese, yet.

And lets be honest, how many of us will buy this over a CL9? I know I won't.

well, i'd get the CL9 only becoz its a love affair for me...
It just looks too good!

else, compare it with any other mid-size sedan, this has to be a viable choice!

yeah...if you put the 3.3 in comparo..i'd definitely take it over the CL9..
earlier i was talking about the 2.4!..

but in PK..3.3 means big time petrol kharcha:S

The Koreans have always been very agressive with their marketing in all parts of the world. Toyota became the number 1 manufacturer not by making the best cars, but by selling as many as possible. I know I'd chose an Accord over a Camry, but I'm in the minority. It seems to me they are silently following in Toyotas footsteps.

Only time will tell eh?

CL9 of 2002 over this,...yeah right!

Come on guys CL9 has:

-Used engine
-Used car overall--specs and features
-No Remote trunk opener
-No tiptronic trans.
-Not as big as this
-Not as BIG tires

I can go on forever. You are only paying for JApanese brand and stylsih looks, but nothing within as compared to Sonata. That car dont got rear bumper sensers as this one does or a windshield wiper fluid level indicator--

This is loaded with so much more, I think both 2.4 & 3.3 are superior to a 5 year old Accord

** 2002 and 5 year old because new CL9 is way above price limit. Price limit= 2M rs/- this is 1.9M
