With Euro5 diesel being available in Pak from next year, diesel variants should be offered from now on.....
BUT, even petrol cars are extremely expensive in Pakistan, more expensive diesel variants wouldn't make much sense for buyers.

I hope you're wrong because, if what you're saying turns out to be true, it would mean a price diff. Of 1.0mil between tucson and sportage to trims.
And there's no way that people would be willing to pay such a huge difference just for a different looking vehicle.
With the kind of prices coming up, I guess hyundai doesn't want any part of this market. They're not here to sell cars, but for some other reasons

If Hyundai actually price their highest trim at 6.5 mil it would give Kia the room to launch a full blown GT-Line sportage with all the bells and whistles imaginable to really embarrass Hyundai, maybe even 2.0 turbo.
