Hahaha God knows what games they are playing.
But as you said earlier this whole conglomerate is based on making full use of government handouts and getting ‘deals’ from the government. Not exactly known for their innovation.
In other words they are not used to playing unless the game is heavily rigged in their favor.
And it did seem like a very good market back when they decided to enter. Demand seemed to go only up no matter what the prices were, imports were virtually killed and all that hope and promise of CPEC.
But soon after came devaluation and then covid. As per @fazalwahab11375 there were rumors that they intentionally slowed down their plant. Maybe they scaled down the whole thing too. Trying to ride out the storm maybe. Now the whole effort seems half-hearted.
Anyway who knows what the actual thinking is.
