Kia is already a year ahead. People are trusting lucky motors more then the kia brand it self. Kia has atleast 8 dealerships in karachi alone.

Hyundai has a single display centre in karachi. They probably havnt been able to sell a single unit of Santa Fe, grand starex van, or ionic or porter pickup (Shehzore)

People are questioning delivery, lets see when do they display this vehicle country vide first.

Nishats attitude doesn't look quite right, first they have delayed the vehicle launch so much and then they have come up with the rebranded vehicle already available in the market. Instead of competing with the market Hyundai is competing with Kia directly.

Hope and wish for the best to the company, hope to see some aggressive competition which benefits end consumers.

I am not sure what you mean by re branded. Many models of KIA and Hyundai share platforms, engines. K5 from KIA is Sonata for Hyundai. Palaside for Hyundai is Telluride for KIA. Tucson and Sportage is same story. Yes delay in launch was a major problem but as of product itself , I dont see Tucson vs Sportage.

Not at all. FWD is the way to go.
AWD only has three extra features, extra seat adjustment for passenger, auto tail gate and leather seats. Only go for AWD if all 3 of these are essential to you, otherwise save your money and your fuel with FWD.

By rebranded I mean, its more or less the same a offering. Sportage looks good on the outside, Tucson looks better on the interior. Yes personal preferences.

Nishat could have focused on different segment maybe. Or maybe the small SUV/Crossover market is untapped by the big 3 so maybe they are seeing better opportunities in this segment between Fortuners and Corolla/Civics

The rumored besturn by faw is supposedly featuring the same engine too.

Previously kia and Hyundai both were being marketed by dewan group. Now 2 separate groups are marketing both brands.

Plus hyundai trucks are being marketed by AlHaj FAW group.

Isn't Sportage more exciting in looks, especially exterior? Tucson looks like some curious mix of Toyota SUV's grills and Audi's headlamps. Tail end is very plain.

Went to take a look at the Tuscon's launch. Had a bias against it due to Sportage being one of my favourite cars. I was pleasantly surprised by the car. The interior seems much better in real life; as compared to the pictures. The back also looks much better and wider than in the pictures. The car seems slightly more lifted than the Sportage and the paint quality/build was immaculate. Maybe, these few units are CBUs and hence had top-notch QC. The head-unit doesn't look fully adapted for this car hence can look sore BUT i was unable to test it. If the usability is good, we can always compromise on the looks. The only negative aspect to it is that delivery begins in January '21 which is 5 MONTHS from now. Rest assured, Mansha has finally struck the right chords with this and has set his company up to sell a good number.

Seems to have more of a sporty look than Kia Sportage. Which looks more like an inflated/fatty kid.

Has sharp looks and corners.

None of the staff appeared genuinely excited about their car, it looked like they tried to memorize brochure at last minute (it was pre recorded and still crap) / and if they could not speak English they should have done the presentation in Urdu.

Business Recorder of 12 August reported that 1500 Units of KIA Sportage has been sold so far. Tuscon beat that in single day? Sounds like fake news.
