Utterly stupid logic. 3rd gen Tucson was announced for Pakistan in March 2020 and launched in August 2020 while the first 4th gen Tucson test mule was spotted in July-end 2019. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he meant when Nishat DECIDED to launch the Tucson, 4th gen was not in development.
Well, Nishat knew very well that 3rd gen will reach the end of its life towards 2020, yet they still took 3 years to launch the car (unlike Kia with Sportage). So they deserve the criticism of launching an old, outdated vehicle at the wrong time.

Hilariously wrong again. Hyundai Vision T concept was revealed wayyy back in November 2019, now the production version has been launched and it will be on dealer lots in the coming days.

In brief NISHAT launched Tucson exactly one year after Sportage while both Nishat and Lucky started offical go ahead within one month of each other. Its Nishat own fault for operational and factory erection delays. Nishat is licensed assemblers and I am sure they knew the new Tucson will be coming.

Anyways , if Nishat was on toes and produced a Tucson a year ago like Sportage, the PKDM 3rd gen Tucson would have more than a year life. I think Nishat own delays is responsible.

According to this press release the company's plant has entered a fully operational stage this year with production capacity of up to 15,000 units per year. It implies that they cannot go beyond this number with the existing plant.

So either the demand has risen to a level beyond 15,000 units unexpectedly, or perhaps they are thinking to change the product mix (of different vehicles). Maybe the company shall increase Tuscon production numbers and decrease others while staying within this 15,000 figure.

Or maybe it is only a case of poor management on part of Nishat.

At the moment, they are not utilising the whole production capacity. For example, Agar capacity mahine ke 1200 units ki hai tou bana 4/500 rahe hain..

On the pakwheels video Suneel said that Corolla Cross will be priced between 8 to 8.5 million. Then comparatively Tucson and Sportage still offer Vale for money. Cross won't give these two any competition
