Brother @koolmobile posted pics of his Tucson but didn't turn up afterwards. Nor did he reply to any of our queries. He must be busy somewhere. No issues.

I had a question regarding its trunk size. So I had to resort to YouTube for the answer. I came across this recent video and a review by Shoib Akhtar. He's saying that his viewers suggested him to drive this vehicle because it matched his personality. And according to his research (quoting J. D. Power) it is the best SUV in the world.

Trunk is quite spacious as shown in the clip.

Best selling is Rav4, CRV, Tiguan, Nissan Rouge/ Xtrail. Tucson is no where half of what CRV or Rav4 sell globally.

Start parroting it.

problem 1 - what the hell does JD power have to do with Pakistan?
problem 2 - JD power awards like "Initial quality" or something equally stupid has nothing in real world.

They even awarded chevys with 3.6 V6 with initial quality, Their engine timing chains fail every 40,000 miles.

Why would they sell CBUs at a loss? (Remember, pre facelift test cbus cost nishat over 7 million a piece back in 2016-17 when dollar was in control)

But the fact that this variant is in limited quantity and available with ready delivery while others have months of wait makes me scratch my head.

This is NOT ready delivery. Its a false advertisement, just like the launch introductory price.
Just confirmed from a showroom, its a base stripped down version retailing for 4.5mil and they're not even taking booking yet. In the first phase only display units will be placed in showrooms to attract public

Guess those who have already booked their vehicle are waiting, where as others who were interested to book have changed their mind as the delivery time has gone 6-8 months ahead.

I have booked a Tucson too for Jan-Feb delivery. But as per my observation of last month or so, most of the Tucsons are booked by investors and very few by genuine buyers. I am following Facebook pages related to Tucson and they are also as quiet. 99% posts are for selling the vehicle on heavy mark up. You hardly find anyone who has bought it for personal use.
On the other hand, Facebook page of Sportage is flourishing: you find 3-5 posts everyday of new cars, no investors all personal. Posts about people sharing their experiences and assisting other owners if they are facing any problems with the vehicle or dealership or maintenance at KLM. The admin Junaid Mustafa is very active and always available. Just amazing.
So far I am sticking with my decision as I think, the looks of Tucson are way ahead than Sportage and there is also a wow factor involved, since it's a newer car. But again this is my personal opinion.
Regardless of which is a better car, this is all making me really confused and think twice about my decision.

I wouldn't comment on the subjective things like better shape and all.However a visit to any Hyundai dealership gives you the feeling of total inertia.The Sales personnel are yawning away and the attitude is as if we have gone into a Mercedes/BMW/Audi showroom.Tucson is as good or as bad as Sportage but the delivery dates of Tucson really turn you away.On the other hand Sportage guys are geared up and attending to various problems/issues of customers though still far from satisfaction.If I were to place an order out of these two vehicles at this point in time I would go for Sportage.Your's should be a totally personal decision.Good luck!!!
