i think it's not necessary that "own payer" has "haraam ki qamayee"... there is another logic in Pakistan... prices go up so quickly that even if you pay 3lac today, after 1 year price of this car will be way above this... hence you are getting a good deal..

if you buy 45lac car for 50lac and past history shows this 45lac car will be 60lac in 1 year... why not pay some more and get early delivery and you are sure to not lose money?

the money you are assuming that you are "earning" or as "profit" is actually negative impact, the value of 6 million in the future will be equal to 5 million of today because Pakistan rupee is on a permanent downward spiral.

Just like civics used to be Rs 850K in the 90s - now they are 4 million, The cars have almost equal value in the international market, they used to be sold brand new for 18-20K USD back then, they are still 18-20K USD today. Its just that the 4 million PKR is equal to 850K PKR of the 90s.

Basically , in the 2.0L or 2.4L engines , during a manufacturing process, some debris from the process of making engine can be left behind which can block a port and stop flow of oil, which can result in connecting rod bearing to fail. This can result in damage to engine block and can cause oil to leak and result fire. While in some other causes , the fuel pipe can leak and cause the engine fire.

This has been known for years now and the literal graveyards of scrapped engines in both Kia and Hyundai dealerships prove it. Their machining is piss poor too. I have seen camshafts literally worn out even with proper oil changes (almost seemed like they forgot to harden the damn thing)

The fuel pipe coming out is nothing new, I have personally seen a ton of sportage/tucson/sonata/elantra with the quick connect clips not locked in on the fuel lines on brand new cars rolling off the truck, A horde of them having coolant leaks at the thermostat housing due to assembly line error.

A literal cancer of all Kia/Hyundai cars is that they cannot figure out how to get the windshield sealant dispenser to work properly at the assembly line. They leak like a sieve because the sealant was runny or bunched up from being too stiff.

Its still early days with the car as its just 100km on the ODO. Its not registered yet. As where as my early experience it has been pretty good. The handling and suspension is good, Nice grip. The drive feels to be a litte heavy on the ECO/Comfort Mode, but sports mode gives you a big difference (increase in acceleration/car response). The one thing I felt odd was the breaking. I felt the breaking is little slow. Maybe this is because as I have shifted to it from a sedan ie Grande so might be the difference.

which fuel are you using and how is engine response on it?

what was weight of your other car that you used, because heavy car might have different brake response? No? i'm thinking like cycle concept.. when extra load on my cycle.. i have to put more strength on brake handle to stop my cycle

I was using Corolla Grande as mentioned earlier. Maybe its the extra weight that's making the difference. Guess will get used to it.
I had kept Revo for a year and didnt noticed anything with the breaking much different keeping in mind being a more heavier in comparison of both..

As far as the floating display, feels little big to my liking. At night I prefer to lower the brightness to bare minimum

The US fires were reported [ for various reasons] in Hyundai/ Kia 2.0L and 2.4 litre engines under various models from 2011 to 2019 which includes, Sonata, Santa FE, Sportage , Sorento, Tucson, Optima.

yes, this known manufacturing fault and company had to face huge losses and make improvements there after.

it's good that these faults are known and manufacturers fixed...

my question: if fire erupts in engine, is it covered in warranty or it's like 60lac nuqsaan for citizen?

I always felt the Hyundai brakes response is slow. I used to drive hyundai elantra here in ksa version , and unlike accord/civic the elantra/sonata brakes always seemed slow. I believe it is same case in the compact SUV section. Otherwise gadget wise and seat comfort wise hyundai was better.

To elaborate further the brake feel of hyundai's is manual(Hard pedal) unlike disc brakes . Is it the same feel in tucson?
