Dear All,

After lot of research and despite many "rationale" suggestions from friends and social media to go for Sportage, I went ahead what my heart said and booked Tucson Ultimate on 25-Jan-2021 in Metallic Silver. I have not given firm delivery time (Hyundai will give me firm delivery time in 20 days), however it is expected in August 2021 :(.

Not sure how i am going to wait for freaking 7 months, laiken pyar kiya tu derna kia

Where did you get it booked from? I booked on Jan 25th too, all the dealerships were giving delivery month of august. Emporium mall outlet had a couple of slots left for July. So i got a PBO with delivery month of July written on it.

I booked from I-9 Islamabad. I have not received PBO yet, they told me I will get it in 20 days with delivery time of August or slight possibility of July.

Hyundai I-9 just gave me receiving of my PO, nothing else like PBO. Is this normal ?

It is not normal if you haven’t got it in 20 days I suggest you should contact dealership
I did not receive PBO from Honda for my civic but eventually got it in a week

Actually one of the dealership told me that the bookings have been closed. That seems to be the case here. They will issue you a PBO when they are allotted slots for august.

Btw i got the PBO right there and than.

2 shifts - day and night - main hurdle will be import of parts only, rest i can see the quick deliveries from Feb.

Congrats.

Tucson is a FARRRRRR far far better looking car than Sportage.

Though, just the looks are different and they're the same thing from inside.. but looks matter. One reason I don't like Sportage. Ugly from the front.

Congratulations! good choice. Tuscon front looks nice.

i couldn't wait for 7 months so went ahead with Kia, they will give it to me in 60 days inshAllah.. i will use it.. play with it.. and in 6 months pakistani price will go up for everything and then.. i will sell my Kia.. and in 2022 when production of many SUV is more productive.. i will then pick and choose another one...INSHALLAH Ta'laa

Moral of the story: don't think it like marriage.. piyar kero.. bar bar kero.. no limits.. if you have money.. buy something.. use it.. and then get your dream girl when she is ready.. why waste 7 precious months and devalue your money..??

when delivery time comes... pay another 5 lac to Mansha Group... who knows..

Yea, it's ugly from front... not attractive at all.. tuscon has bigger things that men like to see and touch... but good thing about Kia that it is available.. use it... play with it.. give her love while you have extra time...

don't waste your time for something that's not available.. don't waste time dreaming for bigger and sexy.. from inside they are all same.. hehehe

Not only front, its interior is also much better than Sportage IMO.

Good for you that you chose Sportage considering only delivery time as criteria. However, there are multiple assumptions in your plan like Price increase for Sportage (in such competitive environment??) and that the fact you will not lose any money while switching between SUVs.

I normally keep a Car for 4-5 years, so switching is not my game plan

I would rather pay 5 lakhs to Mansha than paying 54 lakhs to KIA when i don't like it

Really hope so.

Because Hyundai is losing a lot of customers and market share just because of their delivery time.

I have no doubt that once delivery time is equal to Sportage, Majority will buy Tucsons.

This is metallic silver which i have posted and booked, I haven't seen Aqua silver (which i believe is bit greenish in color)

Great choice, I was also in a similar position and went ahead with what my heart said. Booked Tucson Ultimate after a couple of visits to the kia dealership with the intention of booking a Sportage. Mine is polar white, a new color which is replacing winter white.
