How do you know the CR-V is trashed in europe lol? As far as I know, the Japanese have a far better image in terms of manufacturing vehicles in the entire world. There's no way a sonata will ever hold up as well as camry or an accord. And how many sportages or tucson's do you see running around from more than a decade? I seen loads of Rav 4's and CrV's.

Never said they're trashed for being unreliable, they're usually trashed in Eu for being super boring appliances rather than cars. CRV doesn't sell in Europe at all, only near 20k were sold in 2020 in the whole Eu.

you are correct on this from historical perspective, Toyota Production System actually taught the world about Production and Quality... as today we learn quality standards from Japanese models...

but.. that's from 60's and 70's.. still true today.. and Koreans have improved a lot.. and now Chinese car manufacturing also improving..

we .. pakistani.. local market.. mehran.. city.. corolla.. finally can see some features and functions.. local japani car assemblers have kept locals devoid of new technologies... look at 1 caror fortuner box car.. not even 4x4 in it.. buy more expensive fortuner to get 4x4... dabba..

thanks to the big 3, they jacked up prices so high that everyone is making money... 11 years old honda city can make money, then why not cheap and shiny chinese products? we like shiny and big things..

Dear Pak Wheelers,
I have booked Hyundai Tucson and they gave the date of Aug possibly Jul. Even after 6 months of launch I have not seen Tucson on Roads. ITs only available in Showrooms on 6-10 Lac Own money. Want to know the actual worth of car as the actual customers has not used the car yet, its only displayed in show rooms. Secondly the recent fire incident has make every buyer in dought.
Another issue is its resale in market and high spares price?

It is a nice car I say you should take it and wait is worth it
We can’t say about resale for now as it’s not much in market but considering so much premium on it, it will retain its value and if you see parts prices they are about the same price as it’s competitors and are available at the dealerships
Plus the fire incident might probably have something related to aftermarket accessories probably nothing from the factory

Tuscon is becoming a common sight in sialkot at least , rising in numbers every passing day. MG HS too is being seen a lot on roads here , sportage ki to wese hee bharmaar hai jaise kabhi civic ki hui thee.

Wont be long before people will see Alsvins on roads whether we like them or not.

Here in Riyadh Haval Compact SUV is a very common sight and from the reviews it seems its full of options and very reliable compact SUV (Under 80,000 SAR approx 3.2 million PKR)

Hyundai Tucson is moving fast to be the leader in its segment.

However they MUST improve delivery time, quality control & add more service Center in Karachi.

In addition There must a ULTIMATE logo in AWD.

Tucson is being over shadowed by MG and proton because of their features and Sportage is far ahead because it has made its market and is readily available rather then waiting 8-9 months for a car

Yes it is beautiful car but more than 90% people of Sialkot including me love to have Sportage. In Sialkot all the way Sportage. Hyundai dealership has one civic standing at showroom covered.

10 out of 100 love the Tucson shape and 90 out of 100 Love the sportage shape ad well as statistics are concerned. A tucson with dirty grill and logo looks much much ugly. Sportage shape is very futuristic and it is on hight of it’s popularity. Tucson has destroyed its identity. Now people are comparing MG & Sportage.

Where did you get these stats from?

Looks are subjective however I do think you're in a minority as most people prefer Tucson's shape (especially the front look) over Sportage. That's the major reason Tucson has been booked in large numbers by the public, despite having higher price and significantly late delivery compared to Sportage. Personally I know many people who wanted to buy Tucson instantly after comparing the shape of both vehicles and were willing to even pay a higher price, but resisted due to late delivery and booked Sportage instead.
