Ok folks.... so i was given delivery time of August 2021 for Tucson AWD while submitting my PO, yesterday i received message from Hyundai Islamabad that my delivery time is now July 2021. Good sign !! I will be going to collect my PBO today.

Hopefully delivery time will reduce further and I will get my car earlier than July

As far as i know, daily production rate is around 30 cars, they still have a big back log to deliver.

Agreed 100%. To go one step further, all of those who have booked cars and are yet to receive deliveries or deposit balance payments should talk to the company rep about it as dealerships won't entertain much. I have been doing my part and he says that company has investigated the only fire incident of which the findings would be made public in the next few days. He gave me a hint of tracker installation but I am not sure how it would make the engine burn out? Also, the cancellation before balance payment is not subject to any deduction and you can get the whole booking payment back in a month or so.

If they increase their production & reduce delivery timeline then for sure they will lead in this segment.

However quality assurance & excellent customer service is needed as well to compete.

Why people who know about cars forget huge incidents like engine fire without explanation.

This has happened to both Sportage and Tucson.

In the West such incidents immediately result in recalls.

No news.. I m sure in the end HYUNDAI NISHAT will do their own investigation and put blame on the owner... this is typical.

yes, this is the beauty of these AWD SUVs, they got this off road capability, take it to Shandur Pass or Saifulmalook Lake and enjoy jeep like off-road... but don't take it there if you don't have experience of driving in northern areas because you might damage your car...
