The right side rear tyre of my Tucson got a cut and lost air while I was on the drive way of a house. The tyre went down from a tiny step which was only a few inches tall and landed inside the small waterway (canal) which separates the ramp from the flat part of the driveway. It was nothing abnormal and the tyre should not have torn like this. I mean this is an All Wheel Drive which should easily have been able to handle this situation. The car has only driven 190 km so far and the tyres installed on it are the Factory Fitted Kumho Krugen Tyres. We never took the car off road or misused it. This behaviour did not seem normal to me. A new tyre should not be this brittle considering that it has not even driven 200km.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue and do they replace the tyres on warranty? I feel that they should replace the tyres in warranty as this is a brand new car which has only driven around 200km. This would prove that they care about their customers and their reputation. I never faced any such issue in the past with any of the japanese tyres which I have been using.
