I am not able to answer the querry asked by the buyers on my ad, no option seen/available for reply.... people are asking me their msgs appear in chats but how can i reply there isnt any reply option

I was wondering....do you really think that a serious buyer would communicate using the chat option when the phone number is visible and he can call you?

I recently sold a car and never bothered to read the chat messages. The eventual buyer called me and came over for an inspection with a mechanic and then finally made the deal.

I sold mine, after getting msg from a buyer on this chat... Got other's too asking stuff, but lowballing... The serious one asked few questions and then fixed a time for meet and check.... Not all people prefer calling first... I prefer to text first (be it chat) then call them

Anyone sending messages via that option or even whatsapp or sms is not a potential buyer and a waste of time anyways.
If someone can't afford a 5rs call they sure as hell won't be buying your car lol.
I completely ignore all such messages while selling a car.

sold a car with exchange of sms texts

also just bought a car for someone. exchanged few voice notes on whatsap with seller and reached spot.
i hv hundreds of free minutes in call.
i am like that, and i am sure there are plenty others as well

That is wonderful.
I guess it comes down to personal preference. I did get messages too when I was selling my cuore last month on Pakwheels and OLX. But to me they all seemed like a bit casual and non-serious because firstly they were all lowballing and secondly I kept wondering as to how can a guy ask for "final price" when they have not even physically seen the car nor driven it to see if they actually like it or not.

Agreed, depends on the person. some people are introverts and communicate better in writing!
