If you made full payment in April then no, it shouldn't affect you. What was the delivery date they qouted whem you booked the car?

if the vehicle is invoiced in July, yes you will have to pay the additional 72k, also what was the delivery time if it was june then also it could have been delayed and taken to july. I would tell you to pay the 72k as the vehicle will still be 1725k around about considering that new price is 1956k.

First ask them to show the invoice and make sure that all payment are made on account of Pak Suzuki and not in the name of the dealership. Pay and get your vehicle if things add up.

PS invoice will always show the complete details of taxes and final amount so that should be what you paid.

What was your tentative delivery date? Is it after the day FED applied? If no and Suzuki delayed delivery then company must bare this.

It’s mentioned in terms and conditions that if new taxes are applied then consumer has to pay but I believe that only true if they are increased before delivery date.

I booked AGS in March and tentative date was May 30, way before FED thing. But company delayed and promised to deliver in 3rd week of July .
I’ve consumer rights to challenge this if they asked extra amount as it’s their fault not mine.

@danishmmh, I don’t agree he should pay 72k just because it’s 1956k now.
If Suzuki delayed a delivery late enough to make consumer pay FED then company must bare this.
Delay is company’s fault and if that delay caused consumer to pay extra in terms of FED or revised token then consumer has rights to challenge such nonsense!

i also asked him if TDD was june mid to end some thing, as per current standing of rules the only thing company is liable to pay is the delayed delivery amount.
If it is end june then he has lesser chance of a cliam.
Secondly all the terms in PBO are in favor of the company, the company has delyaed the delivery by even one month they will pay you the agreed penalty but no more liability is on them. as per terms and conditions that is where they will take a walk over because this FED thing just popped up and this amunt will not be pocketed by PS or any other manufacturer. They will give details of this payment to the govt. in their company invoice. so if you dont pay up you can try litigation route but as the terms are as of now, PS or assemblers stand to benefit.

For you your case was 30th May so more than a months delay is too much you can fight and hope for the best for you.

Till such time vehicle delivery challan is signed & delivery after PDI is done by the dealership., All applicable Government taxes will be charged from the buyer.

Read the fine print over the order booking form.

You can claim adjustment of all the taxes charged by the car manufacturer & The withholding tax paid at excise department at the time of registration, in your annual tax return. If you are a filer.

Add on top of it why is he demanding 72k while your FED comes out to be only as follows

Some thing is off do get it checked before paying and only make payment vide Pay-order(in the name of Pak Suzuki on your account) and against written breakup of cost from dealership.
