I calculate my civic 2009 fuel average and its only 3 km

I saw points on my car fuel bar and it was 6 and approx 1 point is equal to 2.5 litres and i start driving so km is 86 when 1 point drop it is 94 so i divide km to liters and its approx 3 what can i do to increse it fuel average bcz its toooo muchhh lowww

bro the correct way of calculating fuel economy
is that fill your fuel tank and see the number of litres then note down trip meter reading finish the tank untill the low fuel light blinks then divide the distance by number of litres and you'll get the fuel economy.

You have to fill up the tank then take a note of how much litres you added and how much km you have driven until reserve light came up. There you go.

Well... IMO, the simplest, easiest and somehow, the best method to calculate fuel efficiency is:

1. Fill up the fuel tank up to full, and reset the trip meter to Zero.
2. Start driving your vehicle.
3. When reserve light pops up, immediately rush to some authentic fuel station, and again have the fuel tank filled up to the full, as was done as per Step No. 1.
4. Note down the quantity of fuel poured in, in Litres.
5. Note down the total price of fuel in PKR.
6. Note down the total distance covered in Kms (since trip meter was reset to Zero).

Divide the Total Distance covered by the Total Fuel poured in, as noted in Step No. 4, to get authentic fuel efficiency in Km/L or Kmpl.

Divided the Total Cost of Fuel by the Total Distance Covered, to get Rs. / km cost.

I think, things aren't that tough and simple, plain basics.

IMO, fuel efficiency shown in the instrument cluster / Dashboard of Japanese cars brands isn't 100% authentic, as it shows reading on slightly higher side, when compared to manual calculations on tank-to-tank basis.

2ndly, I have observed that he fuel points aren't uniformly distributed throughout. When fuel tank is full, 1st point drops significantly late compared to other fuel points, like 1st takes more Kms covered than 2nd, 2nd more than 3rd, and so on...

3rdly, total fuel points may not be directly proportional to, or directly compared with total fuel capacity of car (including reserved fuel). If capacity is 50L, and points are 10, it may not mean that 1 point drops means that 5L fuel has been consumed.

I think things aren't like that...

Refrain from using words like bakwaas etc. Do that again and you will be banned.

Your q has been answered already, fill it up, zero the tripmeter drive till reserve light switches on, note the kms, fill up again, calculate fuel used by kms driven.
