I Purchased Honda City 2015 with 200K kms

Hey ! So i purchased a honda very first car of myself since the prices are high i went for low budget car.
Model is 2015 with 200K kms on it
Mechanic Told me that the car engine is in very good condtion and no need to worry about the suspension as it's in brand new condition. Car was sold to me by an individual and i got my own mechanic to get it checked.
Now after reading blogs and few more articles over here (since i'm new to platform) I'm having second thoughts of selling it or will it be okay to use it. need suggestions!

A well maintained car won't be a money pit unless it was unreliable from the factory. I've seem some Honda City's on the 500k mark with the original engine. With good maintenance, correct oil grade and not driving it ruffly all the time. It is a very reliable car.

Use it for six months .

Better to change all oils and filters yourself for peace of mind.

Whenever you buy used car, this feeling surfaces that may be i got bad deal. Just ignore it .

After 06 months, if nothing major comes up yhen continue using it

Got it check the car has been using coolant through out the life as radiator wasn't rusty or choked.
another thing checked the engine oil it seems in prestine condition and mechanic suggested not to change. right now

in may 2024, i sold my 46k km first hand Alto 660 2021/2022 model to buy a 2016 Honda City manual 93k km on odo. the difference is of day and night and i am enjoying every bit of it. before that, in 2016, i sold my 65k km driven 2008 Cultus vrxi to buy a Baleno 2004 127k km driven - what a car Baleno was, it served me absolutely fine with minor maintenances till 2021.

yes, the 'keera' of 'maybe i made a wrong decision' is always there when you buy a used car but yes, Hondas are extremely reliable if loved by heart and taken care of. best of luck. keep posting what maintenances you are doing.

consider yourself lucky for buying such car which is in good condition.
normally after buying 2nd hand vehicles in PK, we need to spend 1-3 laks on its general maintenance.

Selling such vehicle would bring more unsatisfaction actually. Because when you will sell it and will be searching for another vehicle, then every time it will keep coming in your mind Yaar Ghalti Ker Di Pehli Wali Ko Baich Ker

So better change its fluids and keep it in your use.

Motor oils in petrol cars usually start getting blackish after running 2-3k km.

If condition of the motor oil is still clean (Yellowish), it means the vehicle is driven under 2K km since last change. You may call ex-owner to confirm it and also the viscosity. Because mostly people love to use 20w-50 on mechanic’s recommendations where actually 5w-30 is recommended by OEM

Break oil top-up
Detailing for good looks
And planning to change the foot board as they have little rust holes down below couldn't be noticed from up front.

I also bought Honda City 2019 1.3 Prosmatec. Changed the engine oil to liquimoly 5w30. It has 50000 kms on odo. Could someone give me information on when should i change transmission Oil and which grade transmission oil ks recommended.

Keep it for atleast 6 months. You'll come to know whether to sell it or keep it with you.

After every 40k kms
Honda genuine automatic transmission fluid is best.

So after driving it for around 700 Kms on single ride
I got fuel efficiency of 17.8Km/Liter for 100-110KM/H
Tunning was done
Air filter and oil filter was changed
Car's back-wheel break leathers and Hand break cables were changed as they were not upto the mark.
Now the issue is I'm facing a little noise from water body belt I guess .
Mechanic says water body will be replaced I don't want to do that since it's genuine and from market genuine isn't available in used and new is costly
