I visited DFSK /Prince Showroom in Lahore ,I was amazed by Glory 580

I visited DFSK showroom today, I had seen people bash about DFSK Glory 580 being overpriced & calling it flop because it was Overpriced(I had same opinion) but when I did a small interior walkaround my opinion changed ,this car has soo many features I think it justifies it's price even if you say in China it's cheap then i can assure you in china cars are not that cheap /free you get what you Pay for , I think this car has more features then any car In Pakistan even fortuner doesn't have Standard 4 Airbags & a bundle of features which are standard & I did find the Cabin build quality good ,The seats looked Ragzine/Leather had nice touch & here's a walkaround video though not very professional but I felt I should share rest here are the features that are standard in this car & Yes I am not paid by DFSK , I wish I was but doing this so that we can support new comers in Pakistan & to me it's a Good addition

At any rate; the interior is nice and the car seems to be quite safe:

The structural rigidity seen in the following crash test is quite... Impressive, given its Chinese heritage:

The car lost the whole engine block upon impact but despite that; the cabin remains intact, which is all that matters in a car crash.

Engine block absorbing most of the impact is the ideal scenario, as otherwise the force of impact will transmit into passengers which translates into internal bleeding and lacerations, broken rib cage and/or skull cracks.

Its a total crap... I would suggest to stay away from these Chinese junks... Been using their c37 van and seriously the car is worst than suzuki.... its been 6 months and already facing various problems in it...... Moreover two dealerships have already withdrawn from dfsk....

Price is 34.50 but for a fully loaded Model for a country like ours thanks our currency having 2 Million fully loaded doesn't seems realistic.

Costed me 1.7 million including commercial reg. Its facing the rust issue at the welding joints and furthermore it's steering rack is already making noises and car has only been driven 10k.... And the list goes on.... The dealerships have also switched from dfsk to other companies due to bad customer service by prince dfsk.....

From price point it is expensive. Also DFSK after sales services network is very rare.
In my opinion BRV is a much better deal.

It may have all the bells and whistles but the most important part is reliability and long term ownership problems and merits. For Rs 3.4 mil the buyer would like complete satisfaction which this product might not give in the long run. If I am not mistaken, even in China they prefer to buy German SUVs given the choice. Just my opinion.

Well I think you're right I did saw Serpentza video where he said Japanese entry level cars are more reliable then the Most luxurious chinese cars, though my opinion is back where it was when I heard from a friend who had recently imported Honda vezel 3.5 Grade for sale at price of 2.9 million with under 40k mileage, keeping this aside when the C37 Van is for 1.7 Million this should be near that price tag if it had been near something 1.7/2.1 million max then it would have been a hit.... But sadlyy our Investors are genius

I know a few people from China and not one of them has bought a Chinese brand car. They have all bought either Japanese, Korean or German cars. So that's an example that even Chinese are not buying their own products and prefer other options.

Well that's not totally true if some chinese buy prefer korean japanese german cars then that doesn't means all chinese live this way, it's all about what they can afford chinese cars no doubt are inferior then korean japanese /German americans cars but it all comes down to prices , Duty is also very high in china this is why they're becoming self sufficient ,Millions of chinese cars are sold in African countries China itself every year which in example are Haval SUVS ,Faw ,BYD & there are still big automakers selling in millions where they achieve to keep low price & Markets which have poor choice like ours

The key point is 'if' the price of Chinese cars is low. Rs 3.4 million is quite high. At that price a buyer might find comparable Japanese products ( new or used).

sorry mate. for 34.50 i would never bluff buying a chinese car rather opt in for a japanese or probably a Korean car. Chinese manufacturers in automotive sector have alot to prove.

@hash737 @mehran i think you didn't get what I said above I have already agreed this is expensive for a Chinese Semi Suv, but sidenote what are thoughts if this car totally fails will there be a big Discount since it should be because Suzuki Ciaz even being a well known brand + well known car was on discount so I think they should also bring prices down with discount or some other way...

Sir, I agree with your opinion. A big discount would be there if the vehicle is imported in decent numbers. If one or two imported then they probably would be given to someone.

If they would have provided international level warranty with this car I am sure this would be a success Dfsk in indonasia offers 7 Years or 150000 km warranty & the price there in Pkr is 3 million
Here currently there warranty is 3 Years or 60000 km which is less for a chinese car
It should have been 4-5 Years Minimum & 100000 Km just as Kia.

personally I would suggest any1 to stay away from any new brand for atleast wait and see for 6 months

what reviews the owners give and only then go for it.

Sir my point is for consumer trust test drives longer warranty brings in more customer they're already charging too much then the benfits should be equal with longer warranty or else way, In Mainland China it's price is for fully loaded version 1.8 Million Pkr ,89000 rmb according to internet so here is almost double it's like buying a car with duty included so this is why & I personally think this car won't be terrible as the norm people have about chinese cars in reliability terms even because this is well reputed car unlike bravo which was a car no one knew it either but is success just because of segment!
