I want a fuel efficient sedan in 1 to 1.5 million budget max

I want an Automatic sedan which is as fuel efficient as possible because I have to travel 50+ kilometers daily and I have a budget restraint of 1 to 1.5 million, please give your suggestions. Also suggest non sedan cars that are in the budget and fuel efficient. Thanks a lot.

Sedans Corolla E100, E110, E120, while hatchbacks cultus and alto.

I suggest you increase the budget to 1.85 million and go for Toyota Altis Automatic 2009. It will give you 10/11 kmpl on city and 14+ on highway.

Avoid 2008 and previous models as they have hydraulic power steering that is prone to oil leakage. The 2009+ models have EPS.

Toyota Belta is also a good reliable car that gives a good average that you can buy in your budget.

For non-sedan cars, Suzuki Wagon R gives an excellent average.

Go for City Idsi in this budget
The car has excellent fuel average and enormous boot space

Go for city idsi(Chuha shape) or if u find newer generation city.
Or in hatchbacks get vitz in 1.3 engine as 1.0 is not good.

Don't look beyond Honda City 2006/2008

A good maintained car gives 14 kmpl.

Easy to maintain. Parts are easily sourcable and decently priced.

Plus being a honda you'll most probably find one home used car in your budget.

Less chances of getting a rental used car.

a Honda with 4 wheels as used 2nd-hand vehicle is an ailment a bleeding internal wound a surgeon forget to stitch. seriously heavy on pocket for maintenance with new oem parts.

The only reputed name for 2nd-hand vehicle market is Toyota. An automatic 2009 toyota will fit into your budget do not make a hasty decision, it may take 2 to 8 weeks to locate a decently maintained car but it will be worth your time & monies.

out of all the cars i searched back in 2020, Honda City IDSIs were somehow the most that had "total genuine hai .. engine change karwaya hai, bilkul new jaisa"

i don't know what was with that car almost every other City had its engine changed : (

Maybe people didn't manage engines.

The one I restored in 2020 also got its engine changed since its old engine seized, driving without water and oil

Could be a coincidence too lol.

Alot of 2009/2014 Corollas have also changed engine assemblies too, mostly because off cng, where as 2002/2008 are better and rigid.
