I want to Adopt a Dog. Any Breed

But find a great and PROPERLY trained one, if not trained properly they would even bite their owner no matter for how long they're with you!
You might know they're the most dangerous breed in the world!
Had one for 3 months that was properly trained by the owner but my mom made me send it back

Well.... pit bulls were bred to fight....but so was the bulldog....... today bulldogs are considered couch potatoes and pit-bulls are still notoriously considered a "dangerous breed".....not true.

My friend had a Russian Samoyed.... it was a little white fluffy dog....... absolutely viscous. He use to bite for no reason and was very possessive of his and his owner's stuff......... if that dog had been a pitbull.....ppl would have said its a breed characteristic and not a result of bad training.

I think a more fair description of a pitbull is that its a powerful breed.... but it no way a dangerous breed. Thing is people who raise pitbulls are the one to blame...... very few people take them in as family pets..... pitbulls are extremely loyal breed....... they will go to any extend to please their owners....... they will kill and die just to please their owners....... its the owners at fault not the dog.

I was offered a dobermann male puppy 4 month old...... the owner said it that is was aggressive and did bit his servant's forearm and actually took a piece of flesh off his arm....... I mean we are talking about a 4 month old puppy. The owner was so scared he was giving the dog away.

In actuality it was the owner's fault..... he bought a 3 month old friendly puppy and took it to his fields and left it their to be a guard dog......... a dog under to no leadership and no socialization will become aggressive...... anyways I went to see the dog....... he was a pure breed but his tail wasnt docked and doberman ears need to be clipped and shaped to get "the look".... I love dobermans but the docking and cropping is something im not comfortable with ..... but without them they look rather odd.

That doberman puppy was jumpy and bored as hell....... he wasnt aggressive...... he just needs leadership... if anyone of you wants it let me know.

Yup you're right, they need proper training and they are hard to train than other dogs as much as I know, that pitbull which I had was with me for around 3 months and it was just awesome, he would start barking at my elder brother if he used to shout at me , whenever I used to go somewhere he would just come running and sit on the car bonnet until the guard comes and holds him, he used to cry when I couldn't meet him! Damn it those 3 months were the best days! Miss him alot
Any ways will most probably get that dog back from the owner as he said you can take him anytime you want!

if you don't find a dog you can live with at a shelter (which does happen), don't go to a pet store. never trust a pet store. find a good breeder. i've found that toy fox terriers are great small dogs by the way

See how loyal and protective the dog was...... he was protecting you from anything he considered as threats.
People usually are scared of this breed bcoz pitbull are banned in several countries. The reason for the ban is not bcoz the breed is dangerous but the ban is imposed to stop "dog fighting".

You make adoption sound dirty. Have a open mind dude......Not everyone around is a freeloader. There are several people you want to give away their dogs and all they want is a good home and not money.

I dont know if you are a dog owner or not but adoption cases are not easy. An adult dog can be a handful for the new owner..... and thats why people rather buy young puppies and do not want adult dogs even for free.

I called a guy today who was selling a german Shepherd adult male for 5,000......thats throw away price....... but guess what no one is buying it........ that dog has a biting problem. The owner wants to get rid of it.......the dog will either end up shot dead or sold to a pet store......... or I can get it.

Stray dogs can we very good pets...... they are so grateful. Thing is I cant keep a stray dog for guard purposes on my farm. There is a huge family of stray dog living nearby the farm. If I introduce a weak dog in their territory they will kill him. Thats the reason I want a bigger breed dog. I have a chocolate Labrador puppy about 6 months old........ he is on the farm ....... he became a submissive dog to survive.....he was younger and smaller than the stray dogs and they out number him and over power him easily. Even though when fully grown up a Labrador is quite bigger than stray dogs and even at this age...... my lab is bigger than most of the stray dogs in that pack but now he is submissive and it cannot be reversed.

If you're getting a Labrador that too golden pure breed, keep them! They're not harder to train, they just need attention from the owners!
I wish I had my pitbull, would have exchanged it with you right away!

Well actually my problem is theft...... it hasnt happened with me yet ALHAMDULILLAH but my neighbors lost a pair of sheep few months back. They have dogs too..... but they are stray dogs and are not trained properly. The watchman was asleep at night when it happened.

I basically need a watchdog.... not a guard dog........ watchdog simply alerts about the threat whereas a guard dog not just alerts but if sees barking isnt helping he will attack........ I do not want to train the dog to bite........ no matter how small the breed is...a dog can do a alot of damage....... guard dogs are like loaded guns........ an accident waiting to happen. Im not paranoid...... im just looking for an easy way out....... buying a formidable structure dog and hoping the intruder steps back seeing a large toothy monster barking..... what he wont know...... the dog wont bite

Owner says father is pedigree GSD and mother was Saint Bernard (died)..... he too is willing to exchange the lab for this beauty........ only problem is....... its a female.

Well Yes..... im not expecting anyone to giveaway a pure breed puppy for free. I mean i dont mind it
But a adult dog can be possibility even if its a pure breed. I gave away my pure breed persian cat for free. I just wanted a good home.
So if I "BUY" i'll buy a pure breed puppy..... but if im adopting an adult dog.... I think im OK with cross breed as long as it has a good bone structure.

BTW 9 months is an awkward age for a dog..... its all leggy and skinny at that age. Nice dog... shud have kept it.
